Would have liked to see us give him more time, I still think that Schürrle could be a really good player in time. He’s a deadly finisher, has a great shot on him and makes intelligent, incisive runs off the wing. Sadly his general play and touch were poor, and that proved to be his undoing with us here. Seemed like the World Cup hangover affected him initially and then he got really ill too. Likeable, hard-working bloke who I’m sure will have a good career. All the best, André! Viel Glück.
