If we are getting him, I will withold any judgement until he's had a few games. I am not really interested in what he did or didn't do in Spain. He should start at Chelsea with a clean slate, he could turn out to be brilliant so I'm not going to start anticipating trouble ahead before he has even kicked a ball...There are plenty outside the club who will do that for us...!

That is very true, I didn't like what I heard about him spitting, do not like that at all.

 

I don't mind a player roughing others up and making sure he is disliked by the opposition, but if he's doing something like spitting on players then I wouldn't want him here. I don't care how good he is, I don't like disrespectful players like that, It's not about image either I just personally don't like that, I don't know how I could support someone like that knowing that I would want him banned from football if he was playing for someone else.

 

It's a big reason I don't want Suarez here no matter how good he is.

But I don't think he that dislikable in the first place. I don't watch much Spanish football but I watch the odd match and I really don't think he's anything more than a Rooney type aggressive and determined front man (without Rooney's antics)

What kills me about this debate over Costa boils down to the question if we need a player of his type/abilities. Arguably we have his sort of style in Lukaku, which leads me to wonder why we would be in for costa at all? We should pair Lukaku with a more finesse kind of player and leave Costa to ruin the chances of barca and real to meet up with us in cl competition. Just think we could spend the money elsewhere...

I don't want to sound like a Liverpool supporter or a hypocrite who goes from hating one player to suddenly worshipping the same player (this time last year they were burning Suarez shirts after defending his bite on Ivanovic)

 

I didn't know that Costa spat at a player which is disgusting and unacceptable
