Pretty sure Saurez has scored against the top 4. He hasnt scored against us ans I don't think City. Pretty sure he scored against Arsenal - could be wrong though.

Either way, Saurez bottles the big games. He never turns up for them. Is there a stat that says 40% of his entire liverpool goals have come from Norwich and another 2 other rubbish teams?

Nope he didn't score vs le arse. They were shutout in the match @ the Emirates & the 5 goals in the match in Anfield were from  Martin Skrtel 1' & 10', Raheem Sterling 16' & 52' & Daniel Sturridge 20'

Contrast with Carragher's much more sensible analysis:

"I remember going to Barcelona in 2001 in the UEFA Cup and we got a 0-0. We did exactly the same as what Chelsea did yesterday, we went there for our clean sheet. Johan Cruyff said after the game we were a disgrace to football.

"Let's not forget that in the seventies and eighties when Liverpool went away they'd go there and do a job to try and get a 0-0. At times they'd play it back to Ray Clemence and slow the game down.

"I remember with Rafa Bentiez playing against Chelsea, we played them at their own game. We slowed the game down, played direct football, never got caught on the counter-attack and never risked playing a ball into Stevie (Gerrard) or Xabi Alonso, as they had Duff, Robben and Drogba for the counter-attack.

"There was frustration after the game. We heard Liverpool fans afterwards on radio phone-ins and whatever, but you've got to not be complaining so much about Chelsea and think you may come up against this again - how are we going to go about it and try to get the result?

"You can't complain and say 'we don't play like that'. We've done it before and been successful at it.

"You can't complain. Lots of teams have done it, we've done it, so get on with it and try to find a way to fix it."

Great and fair in depth analysis of the game tonight from Neville and carragher....well worth a watch...Neville makes the fair point that if anyone's blown the league, it's chelsea

I think it's great that Jamie said Liverpool fans don't have a case in the whole time wasting situation, as he stated that every team has done it. Including Liverpool.

I know this is very old news, but I think it's worth reminding people of when the scouse start saying other people have no class and that they are the best fans etc. THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE REALLY  ALL ABOUT !!!!!

Carragher said what I was thinking and I was pleased given his Liverpool connection he did...bit like the gooners going all high and mighty in recent years after all the dross they provided under graham, it's laughable Liverpool should do the same now...renowned for dull footy when they won euro cups and fsw was the master of it...it's how they beat us in two cl semis FFs! One year at the top under Rodgers and they get to say what is football and what's not? Bollox

And the funny thing is when Jose moaned about west ham, which still gets brought up to this day, he got slammed for it in the media...Rodgers says it and no condemnation from dicks like maddock, quite the opposite...apart from martin Samuel, whose article I posted on here last night

I am not sure if you checkout ESPN FC, but both Gab Marcotti & David Hirsey have come out to say Rodgers should have known better. They would have avoided the following situation

Just about to link that, actually pretty good. Still not sure why there are so many partisan analysts in football though.

To quote myself a day before this match...

It would be a neat "f**k you" to the FA though. Field a weakened starting XI and just park the bus, creating a snooze-fest before snatching a cheap goal to send Anfield into meltdown. How's that for your spectacle FA? You've spent the last two months engineering a Liverpool title victory for their 25th anniversary of Hillsborough, which we are all f**king tired of hearing about, so you can enjoy us pissing on the parade.

I was pretty accurate it turns out!

I honestly feel it was just a little arrogance, that because things were going so well for pool and things were all of a sudden so dire for Chelsea that there was just the expectation that Liverpool would blow Chelsea away. That didn't happen.

Watched the game in my local pub with a Liverpool supporting friend of mine.I said to him before the Sunderland game,I was more worried about Sunderland than I was Liverpool.I explained to him imo that Chelsea under mourhino will find them out.

The last thing he said to me as he left the pub was f**k you Kevin and your predictions.I call it as I see it and I know he will come round.that's why he is a friend.

I think Rodgers is still learning from Jose

Having gone through the entire natch thread on RAWK , I have decided that the Scousers are the most useless, insufferable , classless , moronish , disgusting bunch of c**ts ever to trode this planet! Yes, an infinitesimal few are a tad decent but does not detract from the fact that they still are an abominable bunch. Someone there admitted to deriving pleasure from seeing some of our fans slapped.

The Liverpool Echo reporting the violence after the game and funnily enough saying the police had no evidence/reports of any Chelsea fans spitting at the Hillsborough memorial.

So just to recap: Liverpool fans couldn't handle that they lost, attacked Chelsea fans after the game and then made up a story about Chelsea fans spitting at the memorial in order to portray themselves as the victims and shift all blame of the trouble onto Chelsea.

Typical Liverpool.

Like the poster who quoted the above, I was at the game and witnessed some of what went on.

You get a few scouse teenagers who hunt in packs, they identify non-threatening type opposition fans as they exit the stadium and go for them. Usually people who are wearing kits or scarves.

Or you get one who has dropped his mates behind him and will go for a single fan, if things go off his mates jump in.

Listening to their fans as we were walking in and hanging about prior to the game, they clearly believed that it was a question of how many they'd win by. They also threw two bottles at the team coach as it approached the ground (that I saw hit the team coach), didn't see this reported anywhere!

They were crestfallen afterwards, haven't been more content after a game for a good while as watching them traipse away with their chins on the deck.

Brilliant article. My favourite part is.........."Liverpool are roundly despised by the fans of other clubs that go to games. The arrogance of their fans, the talk of ‘history’ (actually built on the gambling revenues of the poor), the behaviour of a section of a set of fans who routinely brick visiting coach windows and throw excrement at visiting supporters.

It seems odd that Manchester City could be seen as people’s champions, but by comparison it is a walkover.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are left with players rested to get on with the matter in hand – battling for their third consecutive European trophy and upholding the UEFA coefficient of the Premier League.

Their presence in those echelons is equally unpopular: UEFA hated the spectacle of them winning the 2012 trophy – the signs clear on Michel Platini’s face.

Chelsea will lap up that antipathy from the authorities. After all, causing such outrage appears to be one of the club’s favourite pastimes". Love it !!!!

I think our club should come out with a statement regarding the Gerrard song about he's cousin and clear it up that a song like that wasn't sung

Why? If the club released a statement everytime the scousers accused us of something there wouldn't be room for anything else on the website!

I'm not on about anything else. Liverpool fans kick and punched chelsea fans leaving yhe anfield road end and spat at kids. They then used the excuse that they done it because we mock a dead relative of the club captain. Which people will probably believe. If the club made a statement and rubbished the rumours of us mocking a dead person it might show them up for what they are bitter sore losers. Unless you think kids being spat at shouldn't be highlighted by the club. If it happened at the bridge you can bet your life lfc would have a statement saying it wasn't lfc fault. If I had my kid at the game and she got spat on I'd want the club I support to stick up for the travelling fans. Are should we just take the blame? Would you be happy if yiur kid got spat at because of a team he supported

I'm not sure if that is really required as the only source reporting anything different to the truth is, not surprisingly, the Liverpool fans themselves.

I watched highlights on Sky yesterday and you can clearly hear what is being sung, there are also various videos on Youtube that prove it was 'Steven Gerrard, he's done it again' .

None of this will matter to the Liverpool fans though, they will continue with their made up stories as it probably makes it easier for them to blame it all on Chelsea, it's nothing new for Liverpool let's be honest.

Yep. Bet your bottom dollar next time we meet they will bring up the time Chelsea fans spat on the memorial and sang about Gerrards cousin.

Ok leave the c**ts of again. Don't believe for a second lfc wouldn't realise a statement to protect their fans if it happened at chelsea. We already have enough bad reports about our fans the club should should stand up for us. That's just my thoughts on it. If people think children being spat at shouldn't be highlighted we have a problem. c**ts
