LEICESTER CITY are poised to make an offer for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard

 

 

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is among his admirers.

Pearson is also keen on Racing Club’s £5m-rated Argentine striker Luciano Vietto and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

Pearson wants to add at least five new players to make Leicester competitive in the Premier League next season.

 

If Frank does leave I see him having a year or two playing in the MLS, one last big day for him before he calls it a day and most likely goes into coaching. 

Lampard would be a lot more sensible for them then 2 unknown quantities next year.

Everybody knows what a good attitude, work rate and desire he has, added with his experience, he may be able to do a job for Leicester.

In football terms this is a good move for Lampard and Leicester

Frank would be a shrewd signing for a newly promoted side. Not convinced he'd go there though, unless he fancies a challenge. The MLS beckons for him methinks.

Dont see why he would want to go there, its stay at Chelsea or go to MLS.

I don't see why he'd want to end his career in a relegation scrap.

Well first of all he should never leave ever. Second of all if he is going to leave it should only be under the conditions that he comes to Leicester (and hopefully it goes a little better than Wisey's stint here).

 

In all seriousness, without wanting to sound arrogant, I think Leicester are a fair distance beneath him, I doubt they could even come close to paying his wages (not that the rumour seems particularly serious). I think Lampard could still get games for a Champions League club, if he is leaving (God forbid) he should be aiming a lot higher than Leicester.

Lampard won't go anywhere near a relegation fight, i'm sure that is the last thing he would ever want to do with his final years.

What's the source for this rumour?

 

Don't see a manager like Pearson taking on a leggy passenger for a relegation scrap anyway.

Lampard still has a role to play at the club in my opinion, and I can't see him leaving Chelsea for another English club at this stage in his career.

This seems highly improbable at this point. As others have mentioned, he'd be more likely to go overseas or play in Australia then he would to go to any different Prem team.

You have to remember frank doesn't have he's kids full time so maybe the us or aus isn't an option.
