September 1, 201411 yr Although that's a really stupid move from United selling to a main rival for a top 4 spot. He's utter mince though so it's not going to make a difference... They have Rooney, RVP and Falcao... Welbeck is a benchwarmer and nothing more
September 1, 201411 yr It's good to have a genuinely interesting transfer window and not one that's a bit rubbish and over-hyped. Earlier, it seemed as if Welbeck might be heading to Spurs - bullet dodged!
September 1, 201411 yr He's utter mince though so it's not going to make a difference... They have Rooney, RVP and Falcao... Welbeck is a benchwarmer and nothing more Well I disagree with all that but that's not really the point, they shouldn't have sold him to them based on principle. They didn't want to sell Vermaelen to them when they were desperate for centre backs but they are happy to sell them a striker when they desperately need one? Wouldn't see any other top teams doing this in similar circumstances. Edited September 1, 201411 yr by Remodez
September 1, 201411 yr Have always rated wellebeck, I think he has been shunted out wide and that has really gone against him but has been a great pro in never moaning about it. Played through the center consistently he will get close to 20 goals a season
September 1, 201411 yr I would cry. I doubt it, think they have overpaid based on his former hype. How much did t get pay? 5/6m? Think he could do well in the prem.
September 1, 201411 yr Chelsea - Diego Cosa, Remy, Drogba Man City - Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Negredo ( he may leave though ) Liverpool - Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert Everton - Lukaku, Naismith, Eto'o Man United - Van Persie, Rooney, Falcao Arsenal - Giroud, Welbeck, Sanogo Tottenham's strikers ain't looking so strong either. If Soldado was to find some form it would look a lot better but on current form it isn't very strong.

It's probably because I haven't seen to much of Remy but for me our's dosnt look that ammazing beyond Costa, drogba is there for moral no other reason and we will have to hope we don't need to rely on him so I hope Remy is up to it
September 1, 201411 yr Isn't he injured? He must be injured, Otherwise he would surely have been out of the door, Napoli were interested in him.
September 1, 201411 yr BT Sport saying arsenal have bid for Schalke striker Huntelaar Yep, I was hearing plenty of Hunterlaar to Arsenal stories also, Thought something must be in that.
September 1, 201411 yr Surely with the new additions that teams have made, from top to bottom, have reinforced the Premier League as the best in the world. I think the past two season, maybe, the Bundesliga and La Liga could claim that title but almost every club has brought in some great talent from Europe and South America this summer. For instance, Hull signed Abel Hernandez, who rejected a move to Benfica because he wanted to play in a better league. While United have gotten in Di Maria, Blind, Rojo and it looks like they will bring in Falcao. Liverpool have brought Balotelli back to England, Sanchez at Arsenal, Bafetimbi Gomis at Swansea and all the shrewd signings that Newcastle have made, especially Janmaat, Cabella and de Jong. Any thoughts on this?
September 1, 201411 yr I'm hearing stories that the Welbeck to Arsenal deal has hit a bit of a wall, Betting for his next club has been re-opened.
September 1, 201411 yr Maybe he has failed the medical or maybe Spurs have come in with a late bid, It's all going off lads.
September 1, 201411 yr Folks here must carry into an account. Van Persie is going for an operation shortly. Falcao is there to replace him. I would rather wait until Falcao plays, then we may see what he has got left in him. Some reports suggested, Falcao is not the same player as we all had witnessed earlier. I see United as no threat to Chelsea anymore. Currently, Chelsea is 7 points ahead of United. That's three games for Chelsea to drop. I honestly think, Chelsea is not going to lose more than 4 games in this season.
September 1, 201411 yr I wanted Falcao when he was at A.Madrid but if we signed him now I'd be really nervous especially considering our history of signing "world class" strikers. Nearly 29, just come off the type of injury that has ruined many a world class talent, being in a new league, not played in a top league for over a year, total mercenary ect...
September 1, 201411 yr How much did t get pay? 5/6m? Think he could do well in the prem. I thought it was 9/10m? If it's £5m then it's a good signing.
September 1, 201411 yr I thought it was 9/10m? If it's £5m then it's a good signing. All I heard was undisclosed. 10m would be steep.
September 1, 201411 yr Where are all those United supporters who said we bought the league now? I would love to have a loverly conversation about them about there 2 stars which are on over 300 grand a week and the record signing of the Premier League Di Maria.
September 1, 201411 yr According to sky sources, Arsenal have told them there never was a deal in place with Welbeck, and according to skybet.com, Klaas Jan Huntelaar is 1/2 to join Arsenal tonight.
September 1, 201411 yr I thought it was 9/10m? If it's £5m then it's a good signing. 9.5 million is the price i heard
September 1, 201411 yr Also gerrard has been so poor, miss hit passes, week tackles and no one to dive and win penalties for him to score. Knew someone was to blame for them getting a soft pen, best to keep stum, than risk the genie of liverpool jumping out the bottle.
September 1, 201411 yr Arsenal so desperate for a striker they are trying to loan from a rival, just like last season. But that Wenger eh, what a genius.
September 1, 201411 yr Arsenal so desperate for a striker they are trying to loan from a rival, just like last season. But that Wenger eh, what a genius. It's mad really as Arsenal are very solvent and can afford to compete with all other UK clubs, were it not for their self-imposed weekly wage cap. What is the point of the Gooners being financially sound if they have no ambition?
