August 7, 201411 yr If we get a decent striker who can do the job when sturridge is injured/rested, i am confident we will win the league. Believe it or not sturridge has all the attributed of a world class striker and has much more quality than diego costa. Bluehatter, want a punt, put money on sturridge topscorer, he wont dissapoint. You're the ultimate caricature of a Liverpool fan! Please keep posting through the season, watching you realise that you got lucky last season will be priceless!
August 7, 201411 yr I just figured it out now. C10TINHO = red&white who are one of you poster's sock puppet. You had me fool up until now. I figured you out...C10TINHO + red&white are fakes

August 7, 201411 yr What a complete bell end he is, wagging his finger at him? The yank should have snapped it off.
August 7, 201411 yr What a complete bell end he is, wagging his finger at him? The yank should have snapped it off. I commented on this earlier. Absolutely ridiculous from Pep. If the whole point of Bayern coming to America was to build their brand in the U.S., then Pep did a great job of creating a bunch of Dortmund fans. Asshole.
August 7, 201411 yr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9kyTwbOx9I Pep showing his lack of class. Imagine if this had been Jose. The worse part of this mess was the fact before the match The MLS Gaffer (who was appointed by the league) basically praised Pep & idolized him. I am sure he was crushed at the end of the match w/ the way Pep treated him. I am not sure if you all saw the two challenges that upset Pep. True they were a bit nasty, but that was it. If Pep didn't want his players to get hurt, then don't put them out on the pitch. A Vinnie Jones quote from the movie Mean Machine, 'if you have the ball, you better watchout cause you are fair game'. Let's be real, footie is a physical game. Not one for the faint of heart. It's not freakin' dance feast like some people would like it to be. Edited August 7, 201411 yr by robdog

It was a friendly so I can see why some of the tackles might not have been appreciated but it isn't like the coach, who doesn't usually oversee these players, was out there doing the tackling. He actually kept apologizing for the tackles. The whole thing was so disrespectful. The way he tries to tell his players to leave the pitch without exchanging shirts. Love the way Muller just ignored him and clapped all of the fans. Edited August 7, 201411 yr by SeanWB

However for me was the major event that took place in Portland was that a Group representing my city of Sacramento, making a pitch to the MLS Hierarchy to bring a franchise here. So I didn't care much about the match, but it was better than watching leave it to beaver re-runs. Edited August 7, 201411 yr by robdog
August 7, 201411 yr Mourinho has done far worse. Nothing to see here aye remember the eye gouge? that was pretty grim
August 7, 201411 yr Pep showing his lack of class. Imagine if this had been Jose. Mourinho has done far worse. aye remember the eye gouge? that was pretty grim I still think telly tubby eating all the pies is worse....Oh wait
August 7, 201411 yr Mourinho has done far worse. Nothing to see here This is nothing to do with Mourinho though, its not like we arent allowed to speak about something in case one of our lot has done worse is it?
August 7, 201411 yr aye remember the eye gouge? that was pretty grim T'was. But was f**king hilarious, aye? An aye for an aye...
August 7, 201411 yr aye remember the eye gouge? that was pretty grim Yeah, that was shameful. A real dark day for Mourinho's reputation. He has apologised for it though and we should move on. My point was, that Mourinho does this unsportsmanlike like behaviour all the time and we all love him for it. Just because it's another manager, do we have to judge them differently? I suppose it's the tribal nature of the game, but it's becoming Scouse-esque imo (no offence Lewy)
August 7, 201411 yr What annoys me about this is that people like Pep and clubs like Bayern try to paint themselves as being 'better' and 'classier' than everybody else, when in actual fact they are just as much of a w****r as everybody else, sometimes a lot worse.

I can just imagine Brendan Rogers say in a post match interview "Here at Liverpool, we do things differently" in a really serious tone.
August 7, 201411 yr At least guardiola does not blame the referee for almost every defeat. Seems mourinho thinks his players are perfect and the officials are always at fault when his team loses. What really surprised me was when he lost a pre season friendly, instead of taking the positives, he decides to take a swipe at officials. Surprise surprise... As bad as guardiola is, hes not a patch on mourinho.
August 7, 201411 yr I can just imagine Brendan Rogers say in a post match interview "Here at Liverpool, we do things differently" in a really serious tone. And in actual fact the bwiefcase he carries into work every morning to make him look important contains shredded newspapers, an etch-a-sketch and a dot-to-dot book.

Let me give to you as simply as possible. Pep is a c**t LVG is a c**t Mourinho is a c**t Allerdyce is a c**t Brendan the swan is a c**t Pretty much every football manager is a certified c**t looking out for their own interests. Generally there are two schools of thought. Some side with the passive aggressive philosophers, that's your Guardiola, Rodgers, AVB, Wenger and Cryuff. Others side with the more aggressive results driven types: Mourinho, Ferguson, Simeone, Pulis and Allerdyce. There are very few nice guys if not any at high level management. Ancelotti is perhaps the exception
August 7, 201411 yr Yeah, its just terrible when managers blame refs... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/10538750/Brendan-Rodgers-furious-blaming-Liverpools-defeat-at-Manchester-City-on-home-referee.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-vs-manchester-united-brendan-1340415
August 7, 201411 yr mactheknife sums up my thoughts. Sure Mourinho has done worse, but Mourinho hasn't gone around with a "holier than thou" act like Guardiola. Edit: Countinho, why would Guardiola blame poor reffing? If it wasn't for poor reffing he would not of won a single CL title at Barcelona, let alone two. Last competitive match Mourinho complained about a ref it was Mike Dean. The same Mike Dean, from Wirral, who was removed from officiating the 2006 FA cup final because Liverpool was playing and Dean has been a fan of their since he was a little lad. The FA did, however, decide that Dean should ref Chelsea vs Sunderland with 4 games left in the season despite the fact that if Chelsea won, LFC would no longer be the league leaders and in fact would lose the ability to automatically win the title if they won the rest of their games, with a win Chelsea would gain that control. Now Im sure its a coincidence that a perfectly good Chelsea goal was disallowed for an aerial challenge that had almost no contact the same half that Mike Dean failed to award a penalty for Ramires and a red card for Larson despite Larson literally rugby tackling Ramires during an aerial challenge in the 6 yard box with the goalie out of net. And by aerial challenge I mean Larson does not even look for the ball, just jumps and body checks Ramires as hard as he can. Then Cahill was rugby tackled in the box by O'Shea and another Sunderland committed a hand ball in his own box. All 3 stonewall penalties (and one auto-red card) all ignored just for Mike Dean to award Altidore a penalty when he, get this, steps on a Chelsea defender (Azpiliqueta) and trips due to his own clumsiness. Again, Azpi does not go into a tackle but Altidore literally steps on Azpi's foot and turns it into a penalty via Mike Dean. A disallowed goal, 3 ignored penalties and denied a man advantage for a huge section of the game for Chelsea, Sunderland get the weakest penalty appeal of the game coincidentally in a game where if Chelsea win, take away Liverpools ability to control their own title destiny with just a few matches left...and reffed by a Liverpool fan who was previously banned from reffing cup finals if Liverpool was playing. You tell me why Mourinho was wrong to complain because the LFC faithful would of rioted had this been the reason why they lost the league. I don't think he protested enough. Yes, I'm still bitter the FA did this but then again, LFC got the most penalties ( a record season if I am not mistaken) and somehow Skrtel didn't get called for a single penalty despite committing the most in the league,.
