Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

After his mis-control and Ba goal, did he try making any killer passes? Nope, just about 7 punts at goal from outside the box. Made it very easy to defend our lead. But Stevie Me tried to turn himself into the personal hero yet again. Lets also not forget the reports that he would have joined Chelsea but for death threats a few years back

The trouble with Liverpool is the constant indoctrination in your own hype.  Here's Brendan Rodgers from earlier this week:

“I think the sponsors will be delighted because you have two of the biggest clubs in the world coming to Miami,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. “It is arguably the biggest game in the world and for it to be here in the United States is wonderful for the supporters and the organisers.

“It is two cities, not very far apart, who historically have always been huge rivals. We are the two biggest clubs in Britain, two of the biggest in the world, so it will be fantastic.”

I watched this game and if that's all the two biggest clubs in the world can offer then football is in trouble.  Far from being a wonderful advertisement for the English game it was error strewn, scrappy and dull.  Liverpool particularly couldn't string two passes together and scarcely had an attempt on goal.

I'm happy enough if Liverpool want to keep harping on about the past, after all 40 years ago they were a big club. Now they are 45th in the UEFA club rankings. Chelsea are 4th.

We will finish 1st as the squad is now much better. City will challenge us but will fall just short and chelsea will fall away just like last season. United and arsenal will battle for 4th spot which will leave 6th and 7th for spurs and everton. This is my genuine prediction and just by having big names does not guarantee the top spots and la liga last year supports this.

Looks like the Liverpool comedy show has reached our shores... and here I believed Monty Python ended their reign two weeks ago.

Another "When Abramovich gets bored" argument.

You were saying that 5 years ago. Stupid, small time scousers and your cult of a club. How does it feel to know that we were the ones who stopped you from winning the title you desperately craved? Bitter c**t. f**k off.

Correction:

Stevie "play me some Phil Collins" Gerrard is what stood in their way of winning the league. What a treat for everyone else to watch that happen. Oh wait, he slipped! Must have been the Assfield gardener's fault, right?

Make your mind up then your spot or ours. And its funny how for you lot its not the players its all manager, manager and manager. Yet for us apparently manager is nothing its about players. What you seem to forget is that rodgers is the difference not suarez. If it was suarez we woudnt be 7th in his first season, 8th in his second and 7th in his third. The difference is rodgers and as long as we are in his hands i am confident we will be challenging for the league.

Ahem, Roy Hodges anyone...

Liverpool fan you must be having a laugh. Chelsea are utter sh*te and so are city. How you can say they are guaranteed top 2 is beyond me. Firstly mourinhos parked bus will not break down teams who use similar tactics (westham). I believe they are a poor side who play negative football. They may win big games but will inevitably struggle against the bottom sides despite signing diego overrated costa.

If Chelsea & Man City are sh*t, then what are lpuke? I can't wait for that Crystal Palace match. They will put your bums back where they belong...mid-table - don't even think about getting a point vs us or Citeh. You won't have nothing coming but hard times. Must sux to be a lpuke fan loser-1.gif

Micah Richards haha, I'll be honest we haven't got a foot to stand on in this debate.

I'm glad you're honest. (Mostly because it means I wasn't wrong with my bluff).

Your people will probably also quickly find out that its a thousand times harder to use academy products when you are playing at a much higher level than before, even if both youth teams are dominating at all youth levels.

Probably crying after thinking about all those burglaries when Liverpool are in Europe, can't blame him for wanting away from the sh*thole.

Reports coming out we are leading the race for falcao. If true, thats the league sewn up a month early i suspect. Still remember the way he demolished you in the super cup a few years back.

Yeah SSN saying Liverpool are close to agreeing a loan move for Falcao and reports that Vidal has signed a contract with United?

Not a point against either of you. Last i remember we were robbed at eastlands and the bridge last year. Sterling was a good few yards onside and scored a legitimate goal which would have give us a 2-0 lead. As for you, we have learnt our lesson from last season and i guarantee rodgers will have a formula to overcome your bus this season.

Huh!  Robbed at the Bridge?  You must be joking!  What is it with Liverpool fans who think that if they don't get a penalty in a match they've been robbed?  Try watching Chelsea v Barcelona to see what being robbed of a game is really like.

What about the year before that at Anfield when your equaliser was scored 2 minutes after the end of injury time and by someone who had BITTEN AN OPPONENT?

Yep same applies at the bridge last year. Not only were we denied a clear cut penalty but also the player who scored the winner (etoo), should have been sent off 2 mins in. Oh and oscar went in 2 footed against lucas late in the game and again never saw red. That was robbery !!!!

That should answer beerqueen too.

We ahould go in for falcao if it's for loan. London is a much more desirable location than liverpool or Manchester.

Its only sh*t when its against you isn't it =)

Lets ignore all the other times liverpool have gotten dodgy decisions in their favour.

Radamel falcao upon signing for Liverpool - "I am at the greatest club in the world" all the while in his head he is thinking "I could have signed for real madrid. What am I doing with my life"

The refusal to shake hands or the bad tackling?  I didn't see it, but would've been annoyed if a team had been flying into tackles on us pre-season.  But yeah, Pep should know better.
