December 17, 201411 yr Newcastle just can't cope with those cold blustery midweek night matches in North London!
December 17, 201411 yr You think Mourinho wants to depend on Schwartzer again if Courtois gets injured? He has nothing to gain from loaning Cech. Are you taking into acoount Cech's aspirations? For all he's done I think he deserves a better situation then this. Am I stoked he's still with us, ofcourse, do I feel blessed whenever he is out there wearing a Chelsea kit? Yes. But he's got a good 4-5 years left in him at the top level, and I wouldn't like to see him spend it on a bench. It'd be awesome if he stayed until summer and won a couple of trophies. And then moved on, but he has set sights on starting in France in 2016, so if it's his wish to leave in January, I think he deserves the chance to go, I'd hate another Malouda situation.
December 17, 201411 yr beginning to fancy Liverpool in the semi-final; home and away against that bunch, happy days

He's too good for Liverpool and deserves to be playing CL - I wouldn't begrudge him a move to United (maybe even Arsenal reluctantly) - he should tell Liverpool to f**k off, he's different class. A move to City would be hard to take. If he is to leave i'd like to see him at Real Madrid. Edited December 17, 201411 yr by the special one
December 17, 201411 yr Typical. Newcastle play out of their skins against us only to get twatted by Arsenal and Tottenham right after. Mourinho was right when he said teams like Newcastle only bother showing up when they play us.
December 17, 201411 yr Makes good sense Cech going to Liverpool. He won't play against us and he's that good a keeper he may well enable them to take points off our competitors ( and Liverpool are not a competitor so we don't have to worry about how well they do). Would not surprise me at all if he goes there. Nor bother me, he deserves to be able to do what he likes.

Selling them players is one thing, but loaning is just ridiculous, they don't even have to pay us much, if anything.

That's my point - he will help them against our rivals. Edited December 17, 201411 yr by Crem

I'd rather watch Cech vegetate on our bench than help out those f**kers.

I hope there is still some dignity left in the game of football and not everything is based on making the most money and getting the results no matter what the consequences. Besides Bonetti, could Cech be the greatest goalkeeper to wear a Chelsea kit? I'm not making a statement here I'm asking a question from the older posters, I'm too young to make those comparisons, but what I can bring it is Cech is one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation, perhaps his prime days were a bit shorter than those of Casillas and Buffon, he didn't have the international tournament privileges as those mentioned beforehand, but in his day, who is to say he wasn't on the same level or even greater than them. He is not short of a clutch gene, always showing on a big occasion, his biggest triumph the 2012 Final. Are you kidding me? All the saves he made, a Robben penalty in extra-time? Olic' penalty after Mata had missed and Bayern were perfect? We're going to let a player like this go to Liverpool? LIVERPOOL? So that they could nick a few points of our rivals? So basically City? You're willing to send him to Liverpool so he could possibly and not probably because their squad is less than impressive without Suarez to nick 6 points off our only title rivals a season who we beat twice in the league last year and only drew this season because of an already made decision that will haunt Chelsea fans and myself for a very long time? He deserves to go out with fireworks in the sky and gold medals on his neck, I don't have to be a supporter of 20 years to say that Petr Cech is a club legend, and a crucial part of one of the greatest Chelsea squads ever (Not particularly of talent, but of sheer will and obliviousness to the most simple fact of not having a chance to win). I understand if he leaves, but I will never understand if we let him go to any other Premier League team.
December 17, 201411 yr And also, you don't believe this Chelsea team could take the league title as it is? Because it sure as hell looks that way if you're willing to let Cech go to Liverpool so he'd nick what you're making out to be so so valuable points.
December 17, 201411 yr bet Souness and Redknapp are real popular with the dippers fans, see the look on their faces when they draw us out. It bought the mid evening SK(ouse)Y dipper w**kfest to an abrupt end. Lets 'ave 'em.
December 17, 201411 yr Cech is one of the best keepers in the world, he both wants and deserves Champions League football, why on earth would he join some tinpot outfit like Liverpool? Perhaps the successor to Buffon at Juventus?
