December 18, 201411 yr Cech will be at Liverpool in January. For the league cup semi Come on Chelsea No, Jose is not thick.
December 18, 201411 yr Makes good sense Cech going to Liverpool. He won't play against us and he's that good a keeper he may well enable them to take points off our competitors ( and Liverpool are not a competitor so we don't have to worry about how well they do). Would not surprise me at all if he goes there. Nor bother me, he deserves to be able to do what he likes. In the last year i have seen Mata join United and Lampard join Man City, i don't think i could stand seeing another one of my favourite players join a club that i don't like. I don't care if Cech could potentially take points off of our rivals. If we sold Cech to Liverpool i think i would start to understand how Arsenal fans feel, it's not a nice feeling seeing players you have supported over the years going off to your rivals or clubs you have a bad relationship with.
December 18, 201411 yr Cech to Liverpool? How anyone could possibly entertain that is beyond me. The very thought is vomit inducing Edited December 18, 201411 yr by Zola
December 18, 201411 yr No way will we sell him to them ad I don't think he's going anywhere in January.
December 18, 201411 yr And also, you don't believe this Chelsea team could take the league title as it is? Because it sure as hell looks that way if you're willing to let Cech go to Liverpool so he'd nick what you're making out to be so so valuable points. I can't be bothered replying to your other rambling so I'll reply to this. Yes, I do think Chelsea can (and will) win the league this year, regardless of whether he stays or goes. But you need to stop looking at things emotionally and start looking at things logically. While you may have some sentimentality in regards to Cech you need to think how best to use him and if he can be used in such a way to help the team even playing for another club. That is what Mourinho will be doing. As far as Liverpool then while you might get all emotional about them, they are just another club for us to beat to me. And don't read words into my posts that are not there. I never said I would willingly let him go , I would be reluctant to. But the fact is he has earned his place in Chelsea history and I don't think he deserves to be left on a bench at any club. To that end I think he should be able to go where he likes. Just like Lampard did. If he goes , he goes with my support. If he stays, he stays with my support.
December 18, 201411 yr What a load of sh*t! I hope there is still some dignity left in the game of football and not everything is based on making the most money and getting the results no matter what the consequences. I understand if he leaves, but I will never understand if we let him go to any other Premier League team. So basically Petr Cech is an absolute legend whom I have the utmost respect and love for and because of that he should only make the career choice that I am happy with and if not then it's a load of undignified sh*t. Right. To that end I think he should be able to go where he likes. Just like Lampard did. If he goes , he goes with my support. If he stays, he stays with my support. That's so undignified. How dare you respect a man's wishes like that. Don't you know that he's your property and that you should exert as much influence (in this case stomping on the floor like a child) in his decision-making? Cech deserves better than Liverpool. And at the same time he probably deserves better than sitting on our bench. I'm happy he's there but the guy is a competitor and he can't be content with being a back-up to Courtois. The problem is Courtois is better than him right now. If he wants to play football then I think he's earned the right to go wheresoever he wishes without us mewling like a bunch of babies. Obviously I wouldn't wish Liverpool on anyone but I'm not sure where else he could go for the next six months, if playing during this time is what he really wants to do.
December 18, 201411 yr I'm pretty sure other clubs will be in for him not just Liverpool. Mardrid will sign him next Summer I reckon cause I don't think they'll get De Gea. I doubt he's going in Jan anyway.
December 18, 201411 yr Was the initial rumour not just a loan to Liverpool, not being sold to them. I think that still applies now, yes. Loan him to them for the rest of the season then make a call after that.

Just like Lampard did. If he goes , he goes with my support. If he stays, he stays with my support. Fair point.. I agree to that he does not deserve to left sitting on the bench of any club, even ours. And if it's his dying wish to go to Liverpool, which is less than likely, I'd be okay with it. But what your first post stated was that we should pretty much offer him to Liverpol so he could help our run for the title. I'm quite sure there's going to be quite a few top class sides wanting him and if we have to choose between let's say Juve and Liverpool.. I think we should ask more from Liverpool for him than we should from Juve. I am looking at it emotionally, I'm not denying any of it, but that's what I brought out in the very beginning of my rant, I wish not everything in football these days was about money and business, what about the love of the beatiful game and the disliking of those scouse bar stewards? Is that not what football is all about?
December 18, 201411 yr Even taking away emotionally though Cech is good enough to be number 1 at any of Europe's bet clubs. Liverpool would be a step down for him unlike a move to Real Madrid, etc
December 18, 201411 yr Seeing sturridge go to those sh*ts (and help them almost win the league) was bad enough, but loaning cech to them as well? Where does it stop?!

I agree he deserves better than being benched. Personally I'd still have him #1 here but that's for another thread. However, he is still under contract and we do have some say in the matter. I see no benefit for us in loaning him to Liverpool. Arguing that he might take points off our rivals is a pretty flimsy basis for selling a player. How many points did Mata end up costing Citeh, Arsenal and Liverpool last season? He might just as easily help them qualify for the CL again. Another poster called it emotional, but football is emotional and I'd rather not see one of our club legends playing for Liverpool, and doing well for them, as he likely would. In any case, I'd be surprised if they were the only club in for him and the only place he'd want to move to was Liverpool.
December 18, 201411 yr I never really knew Sturridge had injury problems, I can never remember those injuries he had at Chelsea but it was a big list.
December 18, 201411 yr Balotelli banned for a match and fined £25,000. That's unfortunate. Ever since Balotelli's return, everyone has been on his case, nothing has gone right for him, doesn't really deserve the criticism. As a human being, I feel sorry for him.

December 18, 201411 yr Oh boo hoo, what do you expect when you act like a total idiot. He still gets to play sh*t and be paid megabucks.

You are right but you cannot give a person intelligence - that sounds awful and patronising - soz. It's like Gazza - a brilliant intuitive player but just not very bright. No one could have helped Gazza - he was beyond help in terms of his life outside football.
