I've taken an eight point hit to ship out Giroud and Adebayor. The team looks strong now on paper but 138th in the league is, being honest, s***. I expect/hope to do much better from week four onwards.

Saved up two free transfers and made 4 changes to my team today. Brought in Falcao and taking an 8 point hit, risky... but may pay off!

I had to make some changes, i made 4 or 5 and used my wildcard. Yaya has been crap so far so he went and Sterling was brought in.

I see, trying to buy success are we. :laugh2:

I have one difficult question, at least it looks difficult to me.

I've done some transfers earlier this week, 4 of them to be precise (should be -8 points next week), and didn't activate Wildcard. Now I want to buy two more players, but -16 or is too much. If I now activate wildcard, will I lose any points next week?

Wish I didn't have Jagielka in my defence, spoilt my gameweek.

At least I didn't have Tim Howard, which I suspect many would.

Only -1, so wasn't the end of the world.

No. You should not lose points if you use your wildcard.

No. You should not lose points if you use your wildcard.

Edit - if you have confirmed the four transfers then you cannot activate the wildcard for those and recover the points. You can use the card to do two more transfers without losing points.

Again,

"A wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. Playing a wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek.

So no points deduction at all if you play the wildcard at any point.  :good2:

I swapped Tim Howard for Courtois before the game...didn't expect to concede three though.

Thanks for the correction. Useful info!

No. Once you have played your wildcard, any transfers you make within that Gameweek are free, including any you made before playing your wildcard, up until the next deadline.

From FPL rules, so you should not lose any points is my reading of rules.

See Footballolic has similar answer.
