1) Chelsea - 1st

    Newcastle - 10th

2) He's a great player. Currently 3rd choice due to Drogba's form but would love to see him play more often. I personally loved Ba (even though you will get a lot of posters on here who would disagree with me) and they are different types of players. Remy is more pace trickery whilst Ba was more hold up. Ba scored some important goals for us (ehum 45th minute to name one) so I will say Ba for now but maybe my opinion will change in future years. Technically, Remy is better though.

3) I'm assuming you mean Chelsea players

    I really believe Ake can become a great player. The fact is he has to play CDM and I can't see him getting enough minutes though which is a shame.

Other young players with talent are Baker, Bamford and Solanke but in all honesty, I can't see them making it at Chelsea

Zouma is also young, but he was bought and I only wanted to state youth products

4)This is a hard one - both maybe?

I would say PL only because we haven't won it in a while (although you could argue CL so Mourinho wins it at Chelsea)

5)Probably a weird one but Pat Nevin. The way he talks Football and the gentleman he is being the reasons why

6)Definitely. The goals he scored so far have been vital and you can not underestimate the impact he has off the pitch

9)I have no preference really. Just one thing that does annoy me is that fans think it is their divine right to be in Europe - hate that attitude. This may be the minority but it does seem like a lot of fans think like that

10)Matic is out for this match and taht's going to be a huge blow. I'l go for a draw 1-1 (wouldn't be surprised to see you win in all honesty - not enough rotation and a long trip to make again)

He's more lethal for sure but overall play I think maybe Ba was better in some aspects

I really hope Ake gets more game time and I'm dying to see Boga get a run out in the first team

Premier League been too long since we won it, would love the CL but now we've done it doesn't feel quite as important somehow

Strange question lol guess Zola because he's my favourite player ever

Yes great backup, proving it everytime he plays

Very dangerous team especially at home, think Pardew is a decent manager too and you should keep him

10 – Scoreline prediction?

1-2 Chelsea but fear the worst

1) chelsea 1st, Newcastle 10th

2) remy has looked great and has taken his chances. He has been unlucky not to start more but the form of costa and drogba.

3) loads of potential, this season ake and Zouma, next season hopefully baker and christiensen. I think aarons looks good though.

4) premier league all day.

5) gerrard, i'd lock him up. Do humanity a favour.

6) very dubious at first because of the way he left, and his form for galatasary. Glad to be proven wrong and he has been fantastic.

7) chocolate digestive. Always had a strong base, but the recent success has added the chocolate on top!

8) highly doubtful but not impossible given the fixtures we have already played.

9) I think there's been some poor decisions at board level over the years which stopped the progression shown in the mid 90's/ early 00's. Good team to have in 5 he prem.

10) 1-3.

1). Chelsea will finish 1st and Newcastle will finish 8th.

 

2). Despite not having played a lot of games I think Remy has been a worthy acquisition to the side! I think he's been a better performer and finding the net more often than Demba Ba was when he was at the club for eighteen months.

 

3). Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma are the obvious ones for mine but one I'm really keen to keep a close eye on is Bertrand Traore.

 

4). I would love to win both competitions without question but out of the two probably the EPL as our drought since we won it is coming up to five years now and seeing Jose reclaim the title would be a dream come true and potentially a start of a dynasty!

 

5). Frank Lampard! Legendary player!

 

6). Initially I was very skeptical of re-signing him as I thought he had the fairytale finish in 2012 but he's been excellent in many ways providing leadership, experience, presence and whenever he's played he's looked like scoring. For a guy that was always going to be a second or third striker I think he's been great for us.

 

7). Like Sezze786 said, I'm not a biscuit guy either.

 

8). Who knows if we can go unbeaten or not but it's very difficult to go unbeaten in a season. I expect us to slip up somewhere along the lines!

 

9). They've really hit form at the right time after a terrible start to the year. You have the potential to be a top 6 side if you're consistent. Pardew is a strange one but he just has the ability to get back on track all the time when things start looking bad for him. In terms of the side itself, Newcastle have always caused us problems in the past so this upcoming match won't be easy by any means.

 

10). I've strongly thought that this might be the game where we slip up and lose our first game for the season. After all Newcastle has beaten us at St James' Park in the last two seasons so no doubt we've got play to the best of our ability to win. I'm going to be very cautious and tip a 1-1 draw.

he's a brilliant player, whenever Costa is out i have next to no fears seeing him start in his absence - he brings different qualities to our other forwards and compliments them well...even though he's Costa's backup, he's essentially the player Torres should of been when we signed him, fast, strong, can shoot with either foot + ridiculous movement off the ball....and he's a lot better than Ba

I think so and hope so....so many Chelsea fans here are so pessimistic when it comes to ambitious goals like that, personally I think it's a perfectly valid aim.

You guys have been doing great as of late - but being brutally honest, i really wish you guys had of kept on losing, True Geordie's YouTube channel is good in general but it's in its absolutely f**king prime when Newcastle lose! You guys should do fine and i expect your lot to finish 8th-12th, most probably in the upper half.

1. 1st of course, probably 2 losses along the way but winning the title by about 9 points.

2. I love remy,like him a lot at newcastle and was hoping we would get him dirt cheap this year for quality and sure enough jose comes through again. Much better than Ba, Ba did have that right moment right time essence about him at times though. Very fast, has a nice low corner shot that makes goalkeepers have nightmares and holds the ball up well enough for someone not that strong.

3. Boga if he gets a chance looks really good from what I saw preseason, betrand traore from last years preseason also is good, ake of course too.

4. Both - i'm being greedy but that is what makes it fun, this year we are strong enough to do it so why not? Also I hate bayern and barca and hate how real treated jose so I have some bias.

5. Lampard, so many great chelsea players pre abromovich and post but lampard has been my fave player and a clutch player at that since I started watching football.

6. For a 3rd string choice? Love it, already he has scored some great crucial goals and of course is a big presence off the field, bravo Jose.

7. It would be the black and white cookie from seinfeld, why? Couldn't tell ya.

8. Can? yes. Will? no. We probably slip to some garbage teams like aston villa at villa park.

9. I like them a little bit, pretty neutral on them to be honest. I got a mate who supports them who's cool so I don't have any annoying rival team friend hassles. Also they have had some entertaining 90's teams and they hate sunderland as much as I do.

10. Without matic this feels like a 2-2 draw.

2. I think he is better than Ba, needs more time to understand how he plays in Chelsea but his finishing is better than ba

3. I assume you mean u21 squad, I think boga is the one, if he grows stronger, his skill and pace is good enough for the league

1. 1st. Newcastle 7th

2. I think he's quality. Scored 3 goals so far. None of them easy opportunities. I prefer him to Ba.

3. Not sure about impact. I'd love to see Baker, Ake and Bamford feature regularly in the near future.

4. Premier League is the priority this year.

5. Probably Mikel. He gets a lot of stick on here performance-wise but he looks like a right laugh behind the scenes.

6. I was happy. I wasn't worried about his CL legacy becoming tarnished because that's what he will always be remembered for.

7. I don't know. Bourbons... As I'm currently enjoying some right now, just like I'm enjoying Chelsea's football.

8. It's possible but I doubt it. Arsenal only went unbeaten because Wenger played the same players every fixture just to achieve the unbeaten status. Because of that, they didn't win anything else when they could have.

9. I have nothing against them. Great stadium though.

​Hate playing them, always a tough game for us. Can't fogrive the club for sacking bobby robson though and then to add insult to injury getting souness in in his place, a man not fit to be in the same room as the late great bobby

Better than Ba for sure. A better option than Drogba too, when we need pace.

Ake. Been following him for a few years now and makes time on the ball which far exceeds his age.

Premier League. We need to build a base in the EPL before we can really go to Europe and beat them all.

Rooney . He can afford to pay a decent rent.

Mixed opinions. Good for a season and as a third option , but his pace has gone and he can't beat a man like he used to.  We really need 5 year plans and he would not be in them. Would love him to be a coach next year.

Rich Tea . No matter how much of a soaking you give it, it remains intact.

No - and , to some degree I wish someone would beat us now. The reason being is that there is a danger we will go into games more concerned about not losing than winning. And that is not a good thing.

Newcastle will never be a big club as long as Ashley is in charge. All he wants to do is (a) survive each season and (b) buy cheap and sell for a profit. The guy has zero long term ambition. So, as long as he remains you guys will just float around the table each year. Real shame that considering the fan base.

Actually - you may have a point. I don't eat biscuits. I was trying to think of one which you could dunk and it kept it's shape.

Im liking the Remy love on here, keep it up.

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle? Newcastle are a wierd bunch recently - I think the hot and cold spells will even out to be a mid-table/bottom of the top half finish.  Tempting fate, but I'm struggling to see how we don't win the league this year with how everything has gone so far.
2 – You signed Loic Remy in the summer, what are your thoughts on him? Better than Ba? I liked Ba, but Remy is definitely an upgrade.  My only concern with Remy is him being happy coming on and performing like he did against Tottenham.  Cameos like that would be rewarded with big game starts in most teams, but with Diego it really isn't that possible.
3 – What young players could make an impact?  None that will really make an impact, however I think Zouma will likely hit double figures for games this year across all competitions.
4 – What would you rather win this season, the Champions League or the Premier League?  Premier League, every time.
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?  Eidur Gudjohnsen.  He seems like a lovely bloke - but quiet enough to not bug me as a housemate.  Also I'd love to have a kick around with his young 'uns and see how far they've developed since running around the Chelsea pitch on the final day of the season lap of honour.
6 - What have you made of Didier Drogba's return? Was it a worthy signing? Was skeptical at first, but now that his fitness is up, he shows more than the odd flash of the old Drogba.  Great guy to have around.
7 – If your club was a biscuit, what biscuit would it be? And why would it be that biscuit? Ummm...pass.
8 – Can you go the season unbeaten  Certainly possible - however a war on mutliple fronts makes it somewhat unlikely.
9 – What are your thoughts on Newcastle United as an outsider?  I actually lived in Fenham for a few years during university, so not much of an outsider.  Great City, a good core of loyal fans, and one of the noisier home grounds these days.

2. Remy has only just begun, watch this space, even better than Ba who I rated.

3. How young? Aside from being at QPR I watch Charlie Austin with interest.

4. It's rather like saying you're going to die, do you want to be shot or stabbed, or whatever the positive equivalent is, like trying to choose between Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn.

5. Also George Best to help him off the booze which overshadowed the man's genius at times.

6. Fantastic move. Drogba is outstanding on and off the pitch.

7. Garibaldi, because we squash the opposition like flies.

8. Yes, the team is more than able to unless variables come into play such as too many injuries.

9. Tough opponents, with strong fans, who could play some entertaining football with us.

2 - I really rate Remy, very clinical finisher and offers us something different. Country mile better than Ba who looked like he was doing an impression of a footballer of times (although I still love Ba for his handful of crucial goals and his personality).

3. Kurt Zouma.

4. I'm absolutely desperate to win the Premier League this season. I dream of one day winning the Champions League under Jose, but it can wait for now at least.

6. When Didier resigned I was a bit disappointed that the fairytale final kick in Munich was no more, but seeing him in blue again has been special. In particular, when he scored the second goal of his return at Old Trafford, seeing him silence their fans and wheel away doing his trademark celebration felt simply incredible.

5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why? Can I have Jose please?  Please, please?   Well he was a footballer too.  And I think I'll leave the why to your imagination.......
6 - What have you made of Didier Drogba's return? Was it a worthy signing? I was one of the doubters.  I thought he had the perfect end of his career here and shouldn't spoil the memories and was now past it.  Shows what I know.  I think he has been great.  Maybe Jose has just a bit more footballing knowledge than me after all.
7 – If your club was a biscuit, what biscuit would it be? And why would it be that biscuit?  Luxury chocolate biscuits from Harrods.  Because we're not from the packet we are special   
8 – Can you go the season unbeaten Really don't care.  It's a media-driven agenda.  As long as we are top at the end of the season, who cares.  Better to lose one and win one than draw two.  And I'd almost prefer to lose sooner than later - as long as it's a weekend when everyone else at the top loses too!  I just think the longer it goes on the worse the media pressure will be.  I mean, they started talking about it after, what, 6 games?
9 – What are your thoughts on Newcastle United as an outsider?  Always tended towards the liking rather than hating but no strong feelings really.
