I would love nothing more than to wrap the title up on the 10th May, when the Scousers come to town! almost exactly a year after they f**ked it up at home to us, we could show them how it's done. just a shame Nando isnt around to really hurt them!

3 wins and 2 draws would put us on 84 points, the maximum number Arsenal can get. We need 12 points for a total they can't reach.

If we draw five and win two it would be enough, quite enjoying the season with a few teams actually having decent runs where they look like contenders while we just look back at them all and worry about our unconvincing form .

The next two games are certainly tough but 2 draws from them would be fine. In fact we'd be laughing.

Draw the next two and that leaves us 8 points clesr of Arsenal with both teams having 5 to play, and crucially Arsenal still have to go to Utd.

I think when we look back at the run in at the end of the season.. Todays 3 points will be the ones that really turned the tide, with 3 minutes to go the gooners were thinking of only a 4 point lead.... the bam up steps Cesc (of all people) and completely knocks them sideways.
I honestly believe that goal made us unassailable in the race for the title.

Becoming more confident but .... forever cautious it is my in built defence mechanism.

 

I see a few of you would like to win it against The Scousers,  I have mixed feelings.

 

Would like to it to be Stevie G's final match now that would be good ...... However I am not sure I could stomach the Brendan puke fest that is bound to happen.

Very unlikely at this point. Mourinho is worldclass and I can't see him slipping, he'll see this through. Brendan on the other hand was inexperienced and got a bit full of himself.

 

Even if you do drop points against us or Arsenal. We've still got to play Arsenal as well. It's not impossible but it's just highly unlikely that you won't be able to get over 11 points from 7 games and you'll only need 11 points if Arsenal win 6/6.
