Name me a single top flight manager who started their a managerial career as a mere school coach to go on to manage a topflight side, never mind becoming a trophy magnet of the highest order.  Other than Mourinho, cant think of a single one.

The fact that JM started from the absolute bottom of the barrel and rose to the top, with no connections gained through a professional playing career, should tell you just how justified his ascent has been.  How it has been a work purely of his efforts and his abilities long before he even had a rolodex in football.

Well the dust has settled.for a start courtois was to blame for the second goal.he should have cleared his lines, basic goal keeping.mistakes happen,he is still a world class player.I have read what abysmal players we have in Willian and ramires, not so IMO.Ramires should be playing a maka role,he will never be as good, but then again who could?

Willian i would stick with,he has speed but little guile ,but i'm afraid he is better than Oscar and fabregas.why does mourhino stick with

Favourites? Like Ivan,I really don't know.he reminds me of celestine babayaro, always out of position, but in fairness a far better contributor to the attack.

We will win the league this year, but here's the bomb shell.mourhino will never be a long term manager.he is tactically inept and is blind to the talented and gifted players.hope I'm wrong of course, but as you have become accustomed to,I rarely am.

Ramires play the Makelele role ? he will be destroyed in that role. He doesn't have the strength or tackling ability for that role. The closest player we have to Makelele is Matic.

Willian better than Oscar and Fabregas...............eh ? If Willian was scoring and assisting and offering something to the attack on a consistent basis then you would maybe have a point, but he doesn't, so i don't know where you have got that one from.

Mourinho tactically inept ? One look at his managerial record proves you wrong. I don't know how you can say we are going to win the title and say we have a tactically inept manager at the same time. If you truly believe that then it makes me wonder what you think of every other manager out there.

And you say you are rarely wrong............well, you just got many things wrong in one post.

Name five managers in the entire world who are better tacticians than Mourinho.

'The entire world'?.look no further than our past managers.neal, hoddle vialli, hiddink,de Matteo, all with a fraction of of mourhino's budget.he is an early impact manager to a new team, because of his charisma.when the charisma wears off,he is found out to be tactically inept and doesn' t see the potential of a player from a fish supper.

hehe...sometimes you remind me of the Coyote in Roadrunner: yet another failed acme detonation ala Mourinho, kev?

Name five managers in the entire world who are better tacticians than Mourinho.

Steve Kean, Harry Redknapp, Tim Sherwood, Neil Warnock, Nigel Pearson.

5 tactical maestros, those are...

These must be two of the worst posts I've ever seen on this forum.

If Mourinho is tactically inept, then how come his Porto side of 2003-04 defied the odds? Simple; not only was his strategy effective for the time (high offside trap, structured defence, bombing fullbacks), but he varied his tactics based on the opponent (changing strikers to suit the opponent, could alternate from attack to defence).

As for your suggestion of better tacticians than Mourinho - Neal? Hoddle? Don't make me laugh. Vialli? Not even for his time. Di Matteo? A better motivator and man-manager than tactician.

Moreover, Mourinho's budget at Porto wouldn't have been that great.

If only he would do the same for us.Porto are a second world team in footballing terms.yes they won the champion's league with more than a tad of luck, like ourselves.crikey Greece won the euro's!.

What about Milan you say.well he spent quite a lot of money to achieve success there.look,no matter, mourhino is good for us NOW,long term? not for me,he is killing the game as a sport with his negativity.his press conferences are cringeworthy.he used to say that he loved the premier league, referees and all when he was about to get the chop from Madrid.

i'm not into conspiracy theories in general yes refereeing is poor in the EPL.the thing is mourhino thinks there was a second gunman in the grassy knoll when JFK was assassinated and he was a referee.

Seriously he doesn't think a manager that has won league titles in 4 different countries plus various trophies and TWO champions leagues in a shorter amount of time than someone like Fergie who is considered the greatest of all time isn't special :laugh2:

It's interesting that you say that considering you also named Robbie D as a manager who is tactically superior to José. Why can we credit one but not the other? If he won the Champions League with a 'second world team', doesn't that warrant more credit than winning it with what I assume is a first world team in Chelsea? Particularly if you admit that luck played a part in both.

And don't get me started on JFK!

I have said why,he has had success.an early impact manager.a father figure that gets certain players working their nuts off for him.we are heading into the abyss in footballing terms.if you want trophies without entertainment, you are a cash card carrying zombie.

:laugh2: you're funny man, where's your stand up at?

I would love you to get started on JFK,or any other 20th century leader.probably not appropriate here- but you probably know that.

just for you for one night only(the wife has a 'headache')and I'm bored.I had occasion to meet Norman Whiteside at a function in a hotel in belfast many years ago.we were both three sheets...(we both played in the same amateur league).I asked him,who was the best manager he ever played under?.expecting him to regale me with stories about Ferguson and Atkinson.he declared without hesitation Howard Kendall.

he was with Everton at the time, but sidelined with a knee injury that ended his career.'why Kendall I asked',because he is the only man I ever met that can drink a bottle of whisky' and talk to you as if he had a glass of water he replied

now what has this got to do with mourhino?.Norman knew his position in any team.he didn't need the inculcation of a any manager he knew his trade .did you know that Norman was the youngest player that played in a world cup?

Whereas you're the only man who can drink a glass of water and talk as if he's been on the whisky all night.
