Chelsea vs Manchester United (PL) 18/04/2015 KO: 17:30 GMT

There is a cut off point in the season where the amount don't matter and we have reached that point. The only way they can be banned is same as everyone else to get two yellows in the game of a straight red.

It still matters. The limit was simply raised from 10 to 15 after the 2nd Sunday in April.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if this game panned out like the city game back in February. 1-1 in the second half then put everyone behind the ball and invite crazy pressure onto us for about 30 mins or so, or maybe it gets to 0-0 in the second half and he settles for that too without trying to score. Desperately hope it doesn't as I don't think that's the way the soon to be champions should be playing in a massive clash at home but we'll see

This game & the position we are in is right up Jose street, no gung ho adventurous game plan, just slowly slowly catchee monkey, a 1 or 2 nil victory, then onto the gunners. Soon be time to have a knees up. :good2:

I wasn't sure if Bobby was directly referring to the Man U fans newly arrived here, but to be fair, some of our own fans get on my nerves.

You have never said a truer word.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

If we win this the title is all but ours, even if we lose to Le Arse.  I'm hoping Remy is fit for this because I don't think Drogba has it in him anymore.  I'd like to see this line-up

GK: Courtois

RB: Ivanovic

CB: Cahill

CB: Terry

LB: Azipilicueta

CM: Mikel

CM: Fabregas

CM: Matic

RW: Willian

LW: Hazard

ST: Remy

Bench: Cech, Zouma, Filipe Luis, Ramires, Cuadrado, Oscar, Drogba

I'd really like us to totally wrap the title up as soon as possible so we can start seeing some players like Cuadrado and RLC get some extended playing time this year.

Not feeling confident I'm afraid.

Costa is a big miss and Utd are bang on form.

They need the win they will attack we will sit back and hit them on the counter, exploiting the pace of Willian, Hazard and Remy.

Reckon we'll play 433, the usual ten with Ramires instead of Oscar.

I'll be very happy with a point.

They are a good side.

I really hope so. From what I have heard, he should be fit. For me, he is the reason why the system works. Blind is a very capable CM but is still a long way from Carrick.

Yeah, the pace of your attack is potentially something that could really hurt us, especially with Valencia and Blind bombing up the wings, and with the latter not exactly being quick. If you have Hazard, Willian and Remy it could be very effective.

Yep, got the same worry. It's the two flanks which are the danger zones in one-on-one situations for us or the throughball races to either Hazard/Remy/Willian.

We cannot afford to have moments like this on Blind, yes it was early on and it was missed but be sure Jose analysed our weaknesses.

We need to be weary of counter attacks like these, be cautious on the ball and the fullbacks in particular have to be switched on more than ever if we want to get anything  out of this match.

That's very encouraging clip in the previous post. However if Willian get on one of those chances, he will probably miss it anyway. I think the Gks will have a huge say in the result of this match,

Is it weird that I am fairly confident and you aren't? Lol

Fabregas must play next to Matic and Oscar must play. Much more threatening last game once that happened.

Can't wait for this going to be a great atmosphere !

I know, me too! I'm more confident against teams who will attack us, especially at home. Everyone else bar Man Utd, City, Arsenal, Spuds and Scummies will throw 10 men behind the ball, which we do struggle a bit to break down.

You know I'm winding myself up for this one thinking back to certain injustices like the loss to them when Torres was incorrectly sent off and Hernandez winner was a mile offside.

Or the CL game when Evra should have been off and we should have had a stone wall penalty.

Or although we win how United fans still moan about Drogba's offside goal in the 09-10 season yet conveniently ignore that Macheda's goal was handball.

There are more things but these are the ones that really spring to mind.

I would love a repeat of the 05-06 win when we beat them 3-0 probably my fave win over United ever (closely followed by the 5-0 demolition).

I agree. It's the type of game where there's space for Oscar to actually operate, rather than facing a team who will set up to defend with two compact banks. Need Remy there though to stretch the defence and create space.

Our ply hasn't been great lately and I'm hoping a top opposition team will bring out the best in us. Watch the CL last night made me nostalgic for the days when we really competed in that competition. Come on the blues.

Ramires vs Oscar is the only decision really, assuming Remy is fit. Ramires has always done pretty well against United from my memory, and the extra space that will be afforded suits him perfectly. Not that I would be disappointed to see Oscar starting, but I can see this team:

------------------------Courtois
---Ivan---------Cahill----------JT-------Azpi

--------------------------Matic
---------Ramires-------------Fabregas
------Willian----------------------------Hazard
----------------------------Remy

We were in it a few months back and got to the semis last year. If that's not competing in it don't know what is.

Competing is being one of the best teams in Europe. We haven't done that for about 5 years.
