Davey Baby: "Stevie G - I adore him, I want to bear his children"

Featured Replies

He irritated me last season, like really got on my nervous.

But if I had the power to give him a good reception or a bad one I would choose the good one. No need to rub it in really, we are champions that's all I care about, he's a very good footballer and could have been a Chelsea player a while ago.

We need to remember the bloke has never said a bad word about this club, although he might be a twat at least he isn't a loud mouth, he certainly doesn't speak his mind in the press like a few others have.

Either way not really too bothered but I can't say I'm particularly hyped in booing the man all game because I just couldn't care less about it to be honest.

Given how self-righteous, insufferable, cocky, arrogant, self-entitled, presumptuous, cock-sure, and downright obnoxious Liverpool and their delusional fanatics were last season, ESPECIALLY in the run-up before we f**ked them over at Anfield last season they deserve absolutely every f**king abuse they get when they come to the Bridge.

Pretty sure I missed a few derogatory terms just then.

Home fans, if you're reading this DO NOT LET UP. Tear the f**k out of them for the entire game.

Maybe I'm deluded but always seemed to me that Gerrard couldn't be done with the self-entitled fans, nor did he really care that much for banging on about what they've achieved in the past... (unlike Brenda)

Would hope he's on the receiving end of some friendly banter for turning us down, but for all I care hope that's all it is... can't say I have any bitter resentment towards him.

Edited by the special one

I don't mind Gerrard. He was a pretty special player in his prime and he doesn't seem like a terrible person either. He's going to get nothing but abuse if he plays against us but I imagine he's developed some pretty tough skin by now.

Wish him well for the future, except when he comes up against Lamps obviously.

How can you like him...when you don't know him? He wangle his way out of an assault charge and has connections to 'gangsters' too.

Unless you mean as a player? But then he's an ambitiousless coward - proven when he bottled the move to us. He's always been the big fish in the small pond at Liverpool, he contributed next to nothing last season when they were excellent.

And don't get me started on the media fawning over him. Granted that's not his fault

I hope Liverpool give us the guard of honour and as we emerge onto pitch from the tunnel In The Air Tonight plays over the PA system.

The camera cuts to a close up of Slippy G's face, seemingly lost in his thoughts as he slowly applauds the newly crowned champions onto the pitch... As the camera zooms in slightly, a solitary tear slides down his cheek and he utters the words "if only".

A career directing movies awaits you sir!

In typical Gerrard fashion he made the last half of his career at Liverpool all about him. He could have been humble (well, he couldn’t have, it’s not in his nature but you know) and just let the season go with no fuss but instead he made it all about him and a lot of the back pages on the final day will be of him waving goodbye. Who the f*ck cares?

Well done Steven, as usual it's all about you.

And because he loves it so much he’ll get all the attention at the Bridge too. He can’t have it both ways, he’s made himself a target by showing off (kissing the camera, that shameful online ‘this does not slip now’ speech on the pitch, announcing he was leaving half way through the season…) he has to take it the chin and accept he brings it on himself.

Personally I like him.

I know there will be a lot of gloating when Liverpool come to the Bridge but I would like to see us be more gracious than that.

We've given him untold stick for so many years.

That slip will live with him forever.

Be nice if we gave him a good reception to send him on his way to the States.

That's just my opinion but I know it will never happen.

Maybe I'm going soft in my old age.

Oh Davey....

Agreed but will never happen.

He has been world class along by with Frank for many years, unfortunately neither of them could do it for England.

I like Steven Gerrard as much as unpopular opinion that it is on these boards.

He's just a scouser who lacked/lacks ambition.

The way he tried to rally Liverpool with the speech after City makes me grin like a cheshire cat every time I hear the song.

I thought Lampard did really well at Euro 2004.

Look Stevie!

Cesc couldn’t win a EPL medal with Arsenal for many years….moves to Chelsea and less than 12 months later…Champion.

That’s how it’s done.
