Drogba's Last Game

Featured Replies

Despite his age he proved Jose was right to bring him back, his infectious desire to win played as big a part as his football and I hope he comes back again in some capacity.

what a legend.

Also the fact that The Great DD is a Leader of Men - remember he helped to bring a cease fire in his country's Civil War. True he was long in the tooth & lacked a step of pace, but he has the Heart of a Champion. For me his finest moment this season was that 1-1 draw vs manure. That was such a quality goal. We shouldn't forget this moment in the season.

Win or Lose I was happy to see The Great DD back in Blue - for me he was a joy to watch this season

Got so many chills when he was carried off the field. He's the reason along with Big Pete that I am a Chelsea supporter.

Will never forget Munich 2012.

Love this photo I got of Didier giving his speech. He made mention of the young lads coming through and to see them listening to this guy like he's a teacher....it just hit home how important he is to this club.

Love ya legend.

Spot on

Even when The Great DD goes off the pitch it's Legendary

It's great that the ref didn't give bookings for time wasting as he would've had to book all the Chelsea players on the pitch!

Then again, they weren't wasting time... They were honouring a legend!

thank you didier once again !

btw drogba(28) had more appearance than Costa(26) this season

wasn`t even contender for MOTD goal of the season

His contribution this season will always  be immeasurable, make not mistake he was brought back because Jose needed some one with a hige pair of cahona's in that dressing room. Some one that would lead the team to war from the front, on and off the pitch. We lost lamps over the summer and Jose Knew JT's leadership (ammazing as it is)  would not be enough. He needed some one who knew how to win and pass that desire to the younger players in the team. And some one who is chelsea to the very core. Drogba gave us all that this season with a couple of goals thrown in to the equation. I hope the players can carry it forward next season

Great send off for a top man. That's the book properly finished with him now. A fitting send off.

Him leaving after that penalty didn't feel like closure. Now he came back for one last campaign and party it feels right.

LEGEND.

He's had such an incredible journey to become the player that he was.

I remember everyone getting frustrated by his antics in his first couple of seasons which hid the player he was and what a player he was. My favourite goal was easily against Spurs at wembley when he spun Gallas in the 5-1 demolition in the fa cup semi.

I'd ignore the media, because I've heard some very negative and bitter comments aimed at Drogba, relating to him being carried off etc..obviously if Liverpool players did if for Gerrard, nothing would be said, but we can never do anything right according to the media. Adrian Durham's being banging on about it, with that wannabe football pundit, ex cricket player giggling in the background and just generally mocking Drogba, I'm not surprised at all, where is the respect in today's game? The answer is there is no respect, unless you play in red.

So true , the man was just incredible on / off the pitch . To see all his colleagues from every part of the Chelsea set up show him that respect and regard should translate to how important he was this season and every other he was with us.

Meaningless fools like Durham don't realise how important players can be off the pitch too, in the dressing room, in training etc...to not understand how important Drogba is, proves why Durham is stuck on a poor radio station, he's clueless. His comments really wound me up, I really hope I never see him in person.

You call him meaningless, you call him clueless and you acknowledge he's on a sh*tty station...yet you got wound up by his comments.

TalkSport is sh*t, it employs sh*t pundits and they never say anything of worth, so why listen to it?

I occasionally listen to it for commentary, or I'll stick it on in the background, it's about time I stopped listening to it at all, it's garbage and that's the last time that station winds me up.
