Not particularly. There is a world of difference between negativity about the entire team and our options up front.

The team may drag us through but surely anybody who has seen either of these two in preseason can't be confident with them going into the season?!?

I suppose if you pay absolutely no attention to Remy's form for us last season and put 100% weighting on 2 pre-season games then yes Remy is sh*te.

Remy is the best backup striker in the league, he just needs a run of games to gel with the first team. He bagged 9 goals last season and how many did he start? If Costa is out for a month Id be perfectly happy with him starting over Falcao.

He was great for QPR and Newcastle when he was getting games, no reason to think he wouldnt be for us if given the chance

I think his issue was a heart problem which happened a few years back. He did pretty well at Newcastle before coming to us, better than one goal every two games.

Fair enough. I remembered there being some health issue.

Remy is ok, but no substitute for costa. I had hopes that somehow Falcao would show some form but basically he was toothless for Manu, toothless for Colombia and has looked toothless for us.

I think if Jose really thought he was up to it, he'd have been given more than 10 minutes yesterday.

Sigh.

If, and obviously it's a big if, Austin came our way I have a feeling he'd work his socks off and be a bit edgy.

it doesn't matter if he's getting zero service. We badly need another player on the right instead of overloading Hazard with responsibility. We are so one dimensional it's unreal. Costa badly struggled yesterday without service and it's been evident for a long time now that we need someone out there as Cuadrado was a failed attempt to rectify the problem.

Sadly Diego is where he was in the second half of last season. Off the pace, rarely a threat.

If falcao cannot move ahead of him why is he here? What are we doing with Remy?

Sounded like sarcasm to me, one person's opinion but at the moment we do not have anyone to compete with Diego it seems. Remy is third choice, and whether falcao is deemed good enough to push Diego remains to be seen.

Another option in case Diego's hamstring goes again seems a wise choice to me.
