I agree, we really struggled without Matic in the side at points during the season, saying that when Fabregas is moved further forward we also lose that long passing ability from dmf.

I think we would have to lose one of ramires or mikel to bring in a dm.

With rlc looking like he will be used alot more, that gives us 5 players for 2 positions.

Attacking midfield I think we are still a little bit light in the wide areas. Remy and Ramires can play there, but neither give the team good balance imo.

Good points Big Blue, maybe RLC could save us some money actually

I remember back in my FIFA days signing Jonny Heitinga for Chelsea, turned out to be not that great in real life haha

Wanted him last season. Not so sure this season.

 

On his day he's a very fine player and showed a real creative instinct in his last season at Arsenal but I'm not sure if he's necessary with Loftus-Cheek coming through. Could be a good player for someone though.

He had some good games for West Ham last season, but just as many terrible ones as well. The three last games I watched him play he would do 3-4 huge mistakes in every game by loosing possession in a dangerous area.

Rumours of Ghoulam from Napoli. Apparently we've already had a €11mil bid rejected. Could be similar signing to Azpi

I think before buying anyone we should try and sell players who are never going to make it at Chelsea e.g. Marin, Kakuta, Moses, Romeu. This would free up some wages and also potentially add to the transfer budget, which would allow us to buy higher quality players. We've also been linked with Sergio Ramos, he's not being offered a new deal at Real Madrid

I think Moses should be given a chance. As for Marin etc then IF we can sell then we should buy it isn't that easy.

I obviously would love to get Varane-Pogba-Griezmann but since that is as likely as Liverpool winning the league next season I definitely wouldn't mind getting Stones-Schneiderlin-Austin

Moses has found his level at stoke don't want him back next season, as for Marin just get rid to anyone that will take him!
