Really like the Xmas fixtures but I agree a break in January would be beneficial.

Maybe keep the new years day fixtures, but have prem teams start fa cup in round 4, so the get a week or 10 days break at the start of the year.

For an ageing old fart like myself, the footy is a massive part of Christmas/New Year.

What is the point of Boxing day if not for the footy ?

Just scrap Christmas, or even the Winter, but leave the Christmas footy alone.

Think about it, stuck indoors for a week, f**k all on telly, and no foot for a week. Makes me come over with a cold shiver.

All the other changes I have no objections to.

But in the Non-Leagues, the games get called off at this time, either due to the weather or the ref preferring to spend the afternoon down the pub.

OMFG. He's started already:

BR: "I can't wait to be in Paradise with our team and our fans as we all get to work."

Can't he just say 'pleased to be here. There's a lot of work to do, etc...'

Deluded Brendan lives. He chucked £200 million down the drain at Liverpool and left them a mess.

The Rangers will continue to the top.

He also gave them their best finish in decades. Compare that with van Gaal who spent £260 million at Man United.

Scotland's answer to Liverpool is probably the best club for him. Won't be long before he's tearfully laying it on thick about those "special fans".

No discussion of the FA Cup final tomorrow?

I'm really torn about it. For Crystal Palace to win would be a great story. They have passionate fans and hard working players. Compare that to the overpaid prima donnas at Man United and their manager who is the most odious manager in the Premier League (impressive considering the number of pricks among managers).

On the other hand, I can't help but feel that it's good for a big team to win the FA Cup. It's heartbreaking to see the degree that it's getting devalued each year. Know what I mean?

And as soon as they sold Suarez he was found out.

Least LVG can win a cup, what did Brendan ever win?

2nd place is better than what van Gaal has done, and Klopp hasn't been an improvement either. Rodgers got the most out of Suarez, more than previous managers. Rodgers also played more entertaining football than the sleeping pills van Gaal sells.

He did a good job at Liverpool. I don't see why people don't acknowledge that. The fact that he looks silly and vain is irrelevant.

It is very devalued. It is sad and I am not sure what the answer is to be honest. It's now usual practice for clubs to place the FA cup behind league and European contests.

At least tomorrow's final feels important as LVG's job, and the short term direction of Utd, may depend on the outcome.

Edit: I hope Palace do it.

The more I see of Rodgers, the more that one good season with Liverpool looks like lightning in a bottle. They were 7th the year before and 6th the year after. It was almost his Howard Wilkinson moment.

Can I just clarify they said that beyond these discussion there would be discussion about the future of the Community Shield. Only I speculated they might scrap it, for all I know it could be just be about ways to improve the whole experience.

On the FA Cup final I hope United win personally can't stand Pardew.

He spent over £200 million and didn't deliver anything, he didn't get out the group stages of the CL and left behind an awful squad for Klopp.

If that's doing well I'm a monkey's uncle.
