I don't think we will sign any central midfielder tht will displace Fabregas. Witsel wouldn't want to sit on d bench, I tink Alex Song or Kondogbia would hv been ideal, Sadly it looks like we'll be sticking with Mikel and Ramires as subs

This is a step in the right direction for mine. I think he will frustrate some people during general play but his end product is excellent. He's almost the reverse Willian.

"another slight weakness is his occasional reversion into 'head down' mode, relying on his greatest natural asset - his pace - to charge goalwards without giving particular consideration to where his teammates happen to be positioned."

Willianesque?

Medical done yesterday, probably just ironing out last details, could happen in half an hour or end of the day....but I anticipate they want to get it sorted pronto.

Willianesque?

Not to slate him but when does Willian ever do that?

Willian runs...stops and then passes sidewards.

He doesn't take players on down the flanks which is one of the most frustrating things about him given his speed.

What are your thoughts on Pedro now that he will be joining you? I remember you not raing him that much when he was rumoured to be joining us...

My thoughts on him when everyone thought he would be joining us that he is a hard working player, not that extremely exciting, not the world class player everyone wants, but a solid player that could do a good job.

I feel he can do a good job at Chelsea since Cuadrado haven't exactly been the signing everyone thought and the fact that Willian doesn't seem to be that highly rated. I suppose Willian is the one being replaced by this signing... or?

I thought most on here rated him the whole way through, you're bound to get a few people that will sh*t talk anyone that signs for a rival but given our recent woes with Cuadrado and Salah i think everyone on here is relieved to be signing a right winger that has proven pedigree.

If we let Willian leave then that is absolute rubbish, we need Pedro to have a squad competing for places and if Willian were to leave we are back to square one. People need to remember that he is coming from La Liga and Spanish players performances seem to tail off after Christmas.

We are not off to the best of starts in the Premier League and really cannot afford to have performances further dip after the holidays, a bigger squad will be vital this season.

I think Willian was better at Shakhtar because he played on the left wing where Hazard is currently playing, there he can cut in with his right foot (Where he's strongest) and take on players. If Hazard was played on the right wing I don' think he will perform to d same level he is now. Same thing happened to schurrle. Its a good thing Pedro uses both feet effectively which is why i like dis signing

There was a point last season where Willian was playing in the #10 position and he was doing very well, I'd love to see him returned there with Pedro on the right, because I really rate Willian, and unlike a lot of people, I think he gives more to the team than Oscar. Hazard, Willian and Pedro as our front three would be very fluid, it sort of reminds me of the Mazacar days in terms of fluid interchangeable attacking play

In counter attacking scenarios for me there's no better #10 than Willian, Oscar on the other hand is more suited to playing #10 during sustained periods of controlled possession (i.e. first half Burnley away last season). I'd hope Willian isn't being pushed out the door as a result of Pedro's signing.

If willian is being pushed out because of pedro signing, that will be a very big mistake. Willian is still very much useful to this team.

I would love to see Oscar alongside Matic, I think he could do that role well.

with his work rate definitely. He's done it before unless I'm wrong?
