I think he's lost the dressing room.

Featured Replies

I do think there was/is something or a combination of things going on behind the scenes. Something just does not seem right and it's nothing to do with our recent results. I do not agree with the idea that he has "lost the dressing room" but whatever the issues are I sure hope they are either imagined on my part or resolved soon

So hang on, you lot actually think this is just lethargy or lack of match fitness and all they need is a couple more games and they'll be back to their best? I don't do knee jerk and in fact I was one of the posters here who didn't panic when our preseason form was sh*t thinking all they needed was just games. i hope I'm wrong and you guys are right but for me there's something not quite right between the players and the manager and we're seeing it through the performance.

If you combine that with a marquee signing then I think that will help our issue

the problems today were waiting to surface on a big scale from around jan/feb last season it was a case of setting up the team in almost every game not to lose the stats speak for themselves ...jose  was aware the team was going backwards and set up to stifle the opponents  and win by the single goal or draw when needed  won the league but that was never going to work long term we are in decline and have been for months today was the day the cracks gave in and the dam burst

I don't think he's lost the dressing room. I also think Droogba is playing devils advocate before the doom and gloom merchants get int.

Our prep for this season has been garbage, pre season seemed to take for ever to get started. Additionally One addition to the team is just not enough. Jose him self has always maintained you always need to add a few to freshen up the squad and the team does feel flat, it feels like it needs inputs.

All this talk of defenders , and yes Stones would be a good investment but in my opinion the pressing need was always an attacking winger. Willian, as much as I love him is not a final third player. He doesn't have the natural movement for it, he likes the game to be infrount of him, for me he has always been a perfect foil in a 3 across the middle but he's never going to get us the goals we need.

Last season 20 goals came by way of costa, then Hazard and the rest more or less came from our defenders. And that reliance on our defense to come up with goals shows up in games like today, when costa is isolated (By the way, Costa at his best had Oscar close to him, this is no coincedence ) The only players that run beyond him our Hazard and Ramires (the latter of which just doesn't cut it at the top level)

I don't think that Jose has lost anything, BUT jose does come with drama and when he loses that drama goes up. He hates loosing and I personally wouldn't have it any other way. The question is thought , would Roman, will Romans new found patients be tested. Do we even know if it's been roman pulling the trigger all this time by the way, maybe it's always been the board.

From a personnel or tactical point of view I think we either need to buy a top level wingger who is going to offer us goals. Get Traore or Kennedy in and see what they have in the locker (Jose clearly doesn't fancy Moses) Or switch the a Diamond which I actually like the Idea of, Falcou and Costa together, with Hazard in behind them, I could see it working.

Any way, in times like this I always think back to the spanking we gave united some 15 years ago, 5-0, champions in waiting apparently. Ferguson's words will never leave me, it's just 3 points, 1-0 or 5-0 its just 3 points. United went on to win the league at a canter and we lost the very next week to watford... 1-0 i think

I like your comments and you clearly have a football brain...but I believe in this football is a simple game not rocket science only clouded  by inept  coaches who talk a good game on the blackboard we are now playing games where like today it took 70 mins to test the city keeper and this has been going on for months...can anyone remember when we actually thrashed anyone..the bottom line ls the manager......everytime

It's wasn't just the bad performance. Weve lost games under Jose which didn't bother me that much because I knew they'd come back, but this one looks different.

We've all seen this before under the various managers who have been sacked under roman, especially AVB. This looks eerily familiar. The players look like they're not playing for him anymore and he's lost them.

The whole club from the owner, the management and the players need to sit down and discuss what's wrong because it's pretty obvious there is something wrong.

Brought my girls to Stamford Bridge today for the first time, it was my first time in many years. We had a lovely time taking pictures the look on their faces was priceless. I got quite emotional seeing it through their eyes and it made me reminisce back to my first days down the bridge. I'm not going into the whole old timer bit it's a little condescending, so my point ?

Too many real let downs on and off the pitch over the years for me to start pushing panic buttons after 2 games. If I had then the day my girls and I had today wasn't happening.

Trust me it, we will get better. Until then me and my girls will continue smiling about our day at the bridge.

lovely post ..1972 was my first game ...seems only yesterday ..and yes if I had said to anyone in the dark days of the late seventies and early eighties I would live to see us win win 4 titles a champions league and all the fa and league cups  they would have locked me up and thrown away the key..

Admittedly yes it's only two games but I do think there are some actual issues that need to be addressed

Yeah there are some issues, but an accusation of losing the dressing room just because of these 2 games? Just ridiculous.

If it was just a tactical switch to hook JT tody then fine, but he has outlived all the managers in his Career, he shot a look at someone today, something  which i have never seen before, expect plenty of fallout to that particular play today..?

Who's the someone Mr. mystery?

whats with all these troll threads being started by 1 and 2 starrers. there should be a minimum post count required before people can make threads on here

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with asking the question about Jose and the dressing room.If you can't ask it here on a CFC forum than where can you?.

I don't think he has 'lost' the players myself but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to see things are not to rosy at the club right now.

But that's nothing new is it really?.We kinda seen it all before.

I think one of the points in the original post is very valid.....all those involved in team affairs should sit down and thrash out any underlining problems.

Having said that,Jose is still the Gaffer & he alone must be allowed to decide team affairs. And as far as I'm concerned, he has my full support because he's a top drawer manager with a vast knowledge of the game and what goes on inside a fooballer's brain,(If anything).

And he's a winner.

I don't think he's lost the dressing room. I also think Droogba is playing devils advocate before the doom and gloom merchants get int.

Look again, barak!  It's not dear old Droogba who has started this thread, it;'s bloke with a very similar name - Darogba!

To be honest I too was fooled at first and gasped in amazement!  But no, Droogba has not lost his marbles - perish the thought!

Looks like I was right. The players are not playing for him. Don't know what's happening behind the scenes but you don't go from winning the league to playing like this. It's not even like we've lost any of our key players from last season.

Lost the dressing room?   When did they move it?   Seriously.....Don't think so, if the so called stars weren't playing I might give it consideration but the so called stars are playing despite they have lost their form.  Ask the same question in a couple of weeks when the so called stars start getting dropped......if Jose' has got the balls to do so.

No it doesn't look like you were right at all. You know nothing about what is happening behind the scenes.
