Time to give Klopp a call.

This thread shows the difference between a supporter who backs players, managers, club when things are good and bad and the modern fickle fan who demands success then throws his toys out of the pram after a few defeats.

I can't remember exactly when he said it, but José made a good point recently. When he first left, Roman's experience of managers was Ranieri and Mourinho. Since then we've had: Grant, Scolari, Hiddink, Carlo, AVB, Robbie, Benitez. Honestly, out of all of those, who would you trust, and more pertinently, who would Roman trust ahead of José? Ancelotti is the only one close to him, and despite how much I loved his time and felt his sacking was outrageous, his record is a level below in terms of consistency.

Just reading excerpts of Gerrard's autobiography ( :pUKe: ), and as a player who we don't like at all to be honest, the amount of respect and outright admiration he has for Mourinho is striking. How many managers in the world would be capable of evoking such a response from someone they'd never coached?

That's a damning statement. You have expectations?! Supporting a team is not like buying an ipad. You support the team whether they are doing well, doing badly or having a drop in form.

I don't think you understand.

Of course supporters have expectations, did anyone 'expect' Chelsea to have relegation form for their first 5 games? Of course they didn't, they 'expected' to be up there with City near the top of the table.

Sacking Mourinho would be ridiculous, it doesn't mean we Chelsea fans can't expect more - look out at team FFS we're current Champions and our squad on paper is better than any other than arguably City. The difference is one side is playing as a team, the other absolute disorganized mess.

So much attacking of our own fans on this forum just because they don't follow the same opinion of others. We will come out of this, but Mourinho needs to pull his head out of the sand and make some proper changes.

I don't think there's anyway back from this. He's lost the dressing room as you can clearly see the players are not playing for him not anymore.

It's a scary situation to be in but it is still very early days, just look at Bvb last season they were bottom with klopp for a long time. We have better quality in our team and Jose has a huge impact on our players, I believe he is still very respected. It's easy to forget what Jose has done for Chelsea when the going gets tough. But letting Jose go isn't the way forward I believe, his record is staggering.

Chelsea can't just keep sacking managers every time they experience a rough patch.

What happens if/when Klopp's team go on a dodgy run? Sack him too?

It's not the way forward. When you already have an experienced, world class manager in charge - you don't sack him for having a bad run, especially after you have just won the league and league cup!

What would Chelsea fans prefer? 10 more years of Mourinho and the guarantee of league and maybe CL trophies? Or the risk of a different manager every few years, change of play styles, coaching personnel, tactics etc.

Be careful what you wish for. Pool fans wanted Rafa Benitez gone and look what they've achieved since. Not much at all.

Chelsea as a club need to learn that you can't just keep sacking managers every time they experience a rough patch.

Lawrenson, motd2 earlier, pinned it when he said Jose is now like other managers and we are like other teams now; we were head and shoulders above which is not the norm.Lawrenson said managers will be saying, 'welcome to my world Jose'.

Here's to getting back to how we were.

Mark Lawrenson is a reactionary bellend.

To compare Fergie's situation in 1990 to Mourinho's today is laughable. Football now and then just don't compare especially where media spotlight is concerned. It's always the hackneyed example that's brought up when a managers under pressure. If Fergie had been sacked in 1990 there would have been countless clubs who would have hired him what he did in Scotland was remarkable to break the Celtic- Rangers stranglehold. In 1990 if Fergie was available who would i want in charge him or Bobby Campbell ooh that's a toughie.

It was widely assumed City would sack Pellegrini after their poor second half last season. And City have started this season looking unbeatable.

We've all wanted Roman to show some stability. We all wanted Jose back. I'd still rather be Chelsea than Spurs, United, Liverpool, or Everton.

Or the risk of a different manager every few years, change of play styles, coaching personnel, tactics etc.

I'd argue this is one of the fundamental reasons we've been successful for the last 10 years.

Predictability is a disadvantage.

I'd argue this is one of the fundamental reasons we've been successful for the last 10 years.

The fundamental reason is that Jose built a side capable of winning the CL 6 years after he left.

8 players from the starting line-up and the bench that night played for Jose in his first stint, and of course a further one, Terry, was suspended.

That's incredible and shows you the winning mentality Jose instilled in that group.

if we lose either of the games next week this thread might become somehow relevant but you've got to give Jose a chance to come up with a plan to change our fortunes

Exactly. Both games offer built in extra motivation. If we see the same issues in either or both matches, we'll know that a change in staff and/or players are going to be needed.

How do you lose a dressing room 5 games after walking the title, having your player nominated player of the year, being nominated as manager of the year, we had a bad pre season and the transitional period when a change of guard is needed can be tough, we clearly need to sort our defence out, and get a CM, not huge problems RLC could come good, january worst case and we have a top RB and a very exciting prospect as LB, in Zouma we also have one of the best young CB in world football, it's going to be a tough season but we are a top team and jose is the best in the world, he deserves criticism for not being bold, and being stubborn he has done that to keep from risking playing with unknown or younger players and it has backfired, that can be seen as a sackable offence and it is his responsibility, if he had of got the sack for that as an isolated event he couldn't complain but his service to the club and his record with the fact he wants to stay long term we would be absolutely crazy to let him go

I see you are covering your tracks. I am sure the OP is your sock puppet. Come on Spud, I know the OP is you

I like Klopp but when Lewandowski and Goetze left, Reus got injured and Hummels lost his form Dortmund were in the same position as we are now. It's ultimately down to the players.

I have no problem with us losing and my loyalty will always be with Chelsea fc until I die, not Jose mourinho. I want him replaced not because we've lost but because like I said the players are clearly not playing for him. This is not some temporary loss of form that will be righted but there's clearly a rift behind the scenes. Either the club sits down and sorts it out so they can start playing properly again or they get Klopp.

You're basing everything on an assumption and quite honestly anybody who wants Jose sacked 5 games after he won the league for us isn't a true Chelsea fan.

True DAT. And it seems Gerrard also knew what we all know, that the FSW was a complete bellend.

We're now getting more and more news of turmoil behind the scenes and an inceasingly unhinged manager and people still think its just loss of form. These players have stopped playing for him.

Evidence? Other than media hype?

Alright chemical droogba, Everything is fine and dandy. The arsenal infidels will be slaughtered on saturday.

If only that is what he said.

At least answer his question.

All you are basing your opinions on is the performances on the field. One day when we get a new manager and we hit bad form, will you then say he has lost the dressing room too ?

It makes no sense that the players would stop playing for Mourinho. You started coming up with this 4 games into the season, that is 4 games after Mourinho won us the league title. Players like Diego Costa, Fabregas and Matic joined the club BECAUSE of Mourinho. Terry said he would throw himself under the bus for Mourinho, Ivanovic must be so happy we have Mourinho as a manager because if it wasn't for Mourinho, he would have been dropped long ago. Pedro praised Mourinho pretty much as soon as he joined.

The players praised Mourinho throughout last season, they aren't going to suddenly think he is a crap manager so soon after winning the league and league cup.
