good old school in chelsea away end tonight...some old classics coming out, including knees up mother brown! good to see the display too...should have been more if falcao could hit a barn door...impressed by Kenedy and ruben again...and dare i say it Mikel? never seen him pass the ball forward so many times in a chelsea shirt!

Begovic - 5 - Tested once and made a mes of it, also made a mess of a few crosses he tried to punch

Baba - 5 - Poor game for me, lost the ball a lot and didn't look all that good in the tackle either. Couple of decent crosses though

Terry - 2 - Very poor, looked hopeless at times

Cahill - 5 - Not very good either

Ivanovic - 4 - Usual performance

Mikel - 7 - Decent

Ramires - 8 - Good game from him

Kenedy - 7 - Good goal

Loftus-Cheek - 7 - Grew into the game, good assist

Remy - 6 - Took his goal well, but otherwise was a bit poor

Falcao - 3 - Torres-like

Harshest ratings ever?

Did we lose the game 1:4? I didn't watch the game, but from that rating we must have lost the game.

You're one miserable bleeping bleep!

We didn't play 2 strikers up front, Remy was playing RW & there was no need for the Matic sub, he's not been out injured, he could have given those minutes to Traore to get some game time and develop other than that I agree

The game wasn't dead at 1-3 with 20+ minutes to go and ET is a disaster.

Just because we won doesnt mean everyone played well, there were some poor performances out there, especially considering the level of opposition.

Personally I'd rate them like the below:

Begovic - 6 He didn't have much to do but he did flap at the shot that lead to the goal other than that he was solid enough (not a patch on Court tho!).

Baba - 6 Had a decent enough game but is a bit sloppy in possession and positioning, he did get a few good crosses in.

Terry - 6 Got booked and didn't look his usual flawless self but again not really rested.

Cahill - 6 Same as above minus the booking.

Ivanovic - 5 Got caught a few times down the right and gave away a daft foul that led to the goal.

Mikel - 8 Bossed midfield and looked comfortable all night.

Ramires - 9 Goal and an assist, he was at the heart of everything good for us.

Kenedy - 8 Full of running and got stuck in, good goal and cracking assist, really impressed with him.

Loftus-Cheek 7 - 1st half to forget but looked a different player after half time getting himself good assist.

Remy - 6 Cracking goal, other than that he didn't do much but he was made to play in a position that's not his natural one so to be expected.

Falcao - 5 Got himself into 2 good positions in the first half but couldn't finish them (the keeper did make a good save for the first one). He does look like the confidence is gone and he's not even half the player who scored 3 against us a few years back.

Subs :

Matic - 5 Came on but didn't really have any influence and we looked disjointed.

Diljiodoo- 5 Same as above but got 1-2 minutes.

Pedro - 6 Scored a great goal but was only on for 15 odd minutes.

Thought Jose would've learned a lot from last night. Ramires had one of his better games. Kenedy took his goal well and showed some decent touches. Pedro is a class act. Cahill was solid. Remy works hard and can finish when called on. RLC making steady if unspectacular progress.

OTOH, Baba Rahman made you wonder what was wrong with Filipe Luis. Ivanovic is a disaster waiting to happen. Terry has a fight on to be first-choice. Falcao was comically awful.

Good work out overall.

Enjoyable match and most importantly we obtained the win without fuss which is what we needed.

Loved the performances of Ramires, Mikel, RLC and Kenedy! The performances from these four guys was outstanding. I've criticised Ramires in the past but he bossed the midfield along with Mikel. RLC and Kenedy have great futures if they keep working hard and attempt to compete for a spot in the first team as I like what I saw from those two youngsters. The goal celebration by Kennedy just demonstrated the passion that he has for this club. It's early days but I think he's going to be a success for us.

Pedro's late goal was superb after having an off day on the weekend against Arsenal. Remy and Falcao played well but I suspect Remy will start on the weekend against Newcastle but I don't think Falcao is too far away from breaking through and going on a good run of goalscoring form if he keeps persisting with his decent form as he hasn't lost his technical ability despite a lack of goals.

Terry and Ivanovic struggled somewhat but it's hard to determine whether they took it a little lightly despite their poor form lately. A little disappointed by Baba but it's early days with him so we can't judge him too soon.

Overall that was an important win and hopefully we keep up the good form with a win against Newcastle on the weekend which would be great considering our poor record at St. James' Park plus Newcastle are in terrible form at the moment.

Also thank you to Satah for the gifs of all the goals! I really enjoyed seeing you post them for those not watching and for those who wanted to revisit those goals.

But pretty much everyond DID play well, there was only 1 player that had a really poor game and that was Ivanovic. You don't win 4-1 with over half of the team playing bad.
