November 18, 201510 yr Reports saying that we are looking at Berainho for around £20m. Young, proven goal scorer. I wouldn't be against it for £20m as long as Jose is prepared to play him. I don't have much faith that Jose will play him. Is he proven? He's only had one good season. I don't think he's worth that much and if he did join he wouldn't really get the game time to prove otherwise as he'll most likely be second choice. Don't think he suits our style of play either, unless we start becoming competent at counter attacking again. I would rather we used Traore to be honest and saved our money for a top striker.
November 18, 201510 yr Yeah I tend to agree. I get the feeling that he would be another Daniel Sturidge - not used properly or given game time. Simply put, I don't have much faith in our scouts finding a striker. We are hopeless at signing them.
November 18, 201510 yr Problem is while he's not a £20 mil player he's English so that already adds money on. Also didn't Spurs go all the way up to £22 mil and couldn't get him anyway?
November 18, 201510 yr cant think who we should buy, but can say who i think we should have bought, quite easily. schneiderlin for me was an absolute no brainer lacazette - 27 in 33 last season, 5 in 11 this season. get him signed. griezmann - pay the money and get the lad, he is electric stones - jose wanted him. should have offered what everton wanted. who cares? its not our money. let roman spend his dosh, he isnt short of a few quid so no need for a whip round yet cresswell - homegrown, knows the league if we had added those above, i think we would be bang up there at the top of the league.
November 18, 201510 yr For those who have been clamoring for us to buy Stones for 50 million we have a very similar player and one who is just as if not more exciting a prospect in Christensen. Who is currently performing very well as a regular starter for the Bundesliga and Champions League outfit Mochengladach at the age of just 19.At this young age Christensen has had a much more well rounded and higher level of experience than Stones had managed to acquire by this stage in his career. A player who was no where near close to the Everton starting line up and which needed an injury crisis for him to even get a real shot at the age of 20 and again he was very lucky last season through the loss in form of Distin and plenty of injuries occurring in the Evertonian defense. In my eyes he is still way to error prone to be a first team player here and would still just be a signing for the future and won't solve any of our current defensive frailties. November 18, 201510 yr I really can't say how good or not Christensen is tbh. Is this another youth player that some are overrating or is he that good?
November 18, 201510 yr The few games I have watched he looked good and very composed but it's the consistency of his performances shown in his reports that has impressed me most in particular those of the big games (CL), but again as we have seen to a huge extent with Stones youngsters get massively over praised when they do something well and any mistakes they make or weak areas of their game are mostly overlooked and palmed off as oh they young it will improve, admittedly this is further exaggerated in Stones' case due to him being English but it will still apply a little to Christensen. Personally i think he has the ability to be better than Stones but personally I think Stones is being over hyped.
November 18, 201510 yr https://youtu.be/24cpL2T_pck See for yourself. That channel has his game against City as well. I prefer him over Stones. Skill wise they are similar but I'll take the guy who wont cost us a penny more and has Champions League experience already. He already reads the game very well on and off the ball. I cant remember him putting in a big tackle but its probably good he never puts himself in a position where he has to leave his feet Edited November 18, 201510 yr by TheChelseaBlues
November 18, 201510 yr I'd love to see Zouma, Christiansen and Stones in a near future Chelsea defence.
November 19, 201510 yr I was a big fan of Oscar but he seems to have gone backwards in his development. He's probably our most expensive asset which I'd be willing to sell and with Juve sniffing around apparently i'd trade him in with whatever cash they want for Pogba, throw Ramires and Mikel if they want. I think Pogba is a perfect fit for us, its just a question of him wanting to come. Seems there were bids in the summer but he decided to stay being CL finalists and all, but now Juve are struggling it could be more tempting to leave. Does anyone think the on going Tax issues at Barca might put some players off moving there? This is probably me just dreaming but it would definitely rescue the season for me knowing we bagged a player with the potential to be the worlds best in his position. I think if we are to splash the cash then this is a better use of our money than Stones.
November 20, 201510 yr What about Fellaini? Wilmots told him to get out of the Man Ure in January. No
November 20, 201510 yr Christensen got voted player of the month for Borussia M recently, so he cant be bad. He cant be worse than the current crop of sh*te we have anyway
November 20, 201510 yr I forgot about Christensen, sounds pretty idiotic to sign a 26 year old for the sake of benching when you have a 19 year old who's capable for playing at CL level.
