Stoke Vs Chelsea (EPL) 27th October 19:45GMT

Featured Replies

As someone said on another website, one day we'll look back and laugh at all these ridiculous results.

I hope it's not yet another half a step forward and then two steps back at Liverpool in terms of performance. Play the kids Jose, they'll turn it around.

Here's a replay of the game for those who couldn't catch it.

(Warning: A loss but a good performance by the lads)

Up until now we've been getting what we deserved, but we really deserved to win this one. Feeling hard done by is a step up from feeling that no one gives a damn.

More or less as usual. Another game we shouldn't have lost.

Please spare me. We played so well we couldn't score until the last minute of regulation and couldn't ship one even in extra-time against 10.

A total disaster of a season. A total disaster in management. A crisis.

Just rewatching the Butland saves, some of them were unreal, the save from Oscar, Traore and then Kenedy right at the end, most goalkeepers would have conceded three or four yesterday. I have no idea how he saved Kenedy's shot, he just read it so well and Traore's shot was top corner bound until he got a fingertip on it, at least it's good for England I guess.

Kenedy and Traore will be something very special if we give them the chance. Kenedy even playing at left back looks great. Quick, skill-full and direct.

Maybe but will that be at Chelsea? I really hope we do not end up with threads about them like we have with KdB...

There was one play in ET where Traore beat his man, but it was a tight angle. Still the lad took the shot & I think he surprised Butland, who barely recovered w/ a kick save. IMHO that was his best save of the night. I was for sure that Traore won the match w/ that movement.

I was gutted after this ended, really thought we were going to do it in extra time. It would be Hazard, it just would be the way things have gone this season. The cup half full (but leaking!) view is that we played well, very well at times but our luck just isn't in at the moment. This looks like a long hard climb back.

Small improvement, but not good enough to beat any league team. The worry thing is with each bad result, the confident drop a bit more, and undo all the progress. It's not all bad to be dropped out of the pointless Carling Cup, real problem was we played our best team against their second best, and still couldn't get a result. I believe we will play them again soon in a league match, not look forward to that either.

Just remembered a classic moment from last night.  Was in the pub (Harvester opposite the ground) and struggling to get the attention of the bar staff.  Trying to get their attention I cried 'oy, mate' in my best London 'football' accent (which is probably a degree or so stronger than normal).  Jeeesus, I was aware of the looks from the people propping up the bar.  Once I got my beers I immediately spotted the Chelsea fans and stood near them for solidarity i.e I hid.

Been over 24 hours sine the match,I've yet to see sky or any of the media outlets headlines ' the crimes of Charlie adam' bar amention by Adrian Durham on talksport. Maybe I've missed them?

I thought so too. That was a world class save. If Butland continues to play like this Joe Hart is out of both his jobs come 2018.
