Stoke Vs Chelsea (EPL) 27th October 19:45GMT

Pat Nevin and Jason Cundy on Chelsea to saying that performances have improved the last 3 games. I have to agree. We haven't had the results but the performances have been there.

At least we didn't lose because of a poor performance or dodgy defending. We played well overall. Just need abit more quality.

Well done boys.

I think Jose has to be bold for Saturday. Keep Mikel and Ramires, drop Hazard, play Kenedy and keep Fabregas away from it.

I would drop Ramires to be honest, he was dreadful again tonight. His passing is the worst i can remember in a Chelsea shirt. He makes the easiest parts of the game look hard. I think we should go with Mikel and Matic, it makes our midfield stronger and has the perfect balance of Mikel's calmness and Matic's power.

the players aren't doing it so we've one of 2 choices, stick with the players and ditch Jose or stick with Jose and ditch some "untouchables"

to be honest I'd start dropping untouchables and start playing the young guys more regularly - this season is shot, we might as well try to develop the squad for next year

No issue with that match. They fought and they fought hard.

Wonderful to hear the travelling 5k singing their hearts out for Mourinho. That's the spirit boys.

Have to disagree with not troubling their keeper FC.

willian sharp in to costa at the near post almost in.

JT holds his run and he still gets on the end of Willians low cross

Rami goes through one on one

Traore and a nice little left foot effort saved by the leg of the keeper, any other day it goes in.

He also tipped kennedys shin round the post.

Traore had another effort i believe tipped over the bar, maybe it was just going over.

Willian I thought had scored with a screamer that wistled past the post.

We got our seleves in the right area's. Stoke score from open play with one of only two efforts. It's just not rolling but it will come.

Don't forget that run Hazard had & Butland had to come up w/ the save......IMHO Butland looked liked the GK we were after last season

Overall good effort from everyone. The team just needs to excercise some more basic stuff - like do not get yourself into off-side in a primary school manner, notice early runners and pass accurately, do not back off until your arse is in Begovic face, close up opposition attack and do not allow them space to think and shoot. What really concerns me is that I have not seen any set moves that should be drilled at training sessions - nobody knows what to expect from another team mate - would he run or would he pass, would he shoot or would he take a defender away and clear a channel for me. It is all impromptu and trying to ride good luck without any planning, co-ordination or pre-thought. We now rely too much on individual performances and miracles. Good luck of last season is not there anymore, so back to basics and team work, and be confident that we will back in force.

the next time Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Fabregas, Costa or whoever takes the ball to within 2 yards of a defender and then stops completely and stands still for 10 seconds before playing a ludicrous missed-pass to someone, I'd wish a sniper would just take them out, even a flesh wound just to waken them up

Shame about the result we didn't play with any urgency til the 80 minute mark and it took 2 of the young guys to change things and very impressive they were too, things just don't seem to be clicking at the moment more so in attack than defence, this weekend against the scum simply is a must win otherwise I fear Jose may be in trouble, UTC.

I am glad many of you didn't travel to the match. So many negative nellies here, but the away support was awesome. I am sure many of them will be tired & hoarse tomorrow

If i could like this 500 times i would

You've mostly listed chances from the first half.

Second half it was pot shots from range mostly off target not even drawing a save from Butland. Those that were on target were tame daisy cutters.

The Kenedy chance he didn't even know what happened, the was no intent to connect with the ball.

We created nothing against ten men.

There was no overlap, no runs beyond the last man. No one getting inside the box when the ball got into wide positions.

All this despite more than half the outfield players being attackers by trade.

Another loss chalked up against a side we really should be beating.

Can't fault the first half, have no doubt had Diego remained on the field we'd be talking about a comfortable victory.

Credit to Remy, gave him some stick during the match but he scored the goal which took it to ET and his link up play was okay, he'd be an exceptional talent if he had Diego's presence.

Kenedy and Traore - did what they could.

Mikel - very good, based on his performance tonight Fabregas needs to play his way back into the team imo.

Ramires - just awful, should have scored.

Willian/Oscar - below par tonight, performance aside they need to step up and produce when it matters and just didn't happen tonight. Hazard, back to his best in the first half but drifted back to his indifferent form for the remainder of the game.

Can't fault Hazard for his pen... whoever made the decision to let him take the 5th pen has to take the blame for his miss.

And finally Charlie Adam you detestable little man.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.

Fair play to them, but there's little to be positive about, they got behind the team, it doesn't mean that after the game they didn't feel negatively. After this many losses and a penalty shootout defeat, people shouldn't be criticised for being negative.

What happened to hazard and his pens. Before he could do no wrong. Now we almost expect it to be saved or missed.

for some reason he has decided to change his technique - he always waited to see the keeper flinch first, as Willian and Oscar did tonight. Now Hazard is trying to simply shoot and he can't

Side point but can anyone explain how Stoke had first kick and a choice of ends? Whoever wins the toss, has a choice of either - not both. There was red error inthere.

From player of the year to no confidence in a few months. How did that happen? He was going to be as good as messi right Jose?

Maybe that was too much pressure.
