October 28, 201510 yr So you want to replace José because of his outbursts and fights, with pardew? The pardew who has had loads of outbursts and fights? Exaggerate much! Has he been fined nearly £500,000 by different FA's. I have no issue with the fact you want Mourinho gone, there are reasons to justify it at the moment. I just don't see how you want Pardew to replace him based on what 10 games this season? To get to the top you sometimes need a leg up, Pardew has always impressed me. A new manager could all be unnecessary if jose carries on with this mellow approach after games, getting the refs & FA backs up is foolish, it comes back to you 10fold, as the ref last night gave us nothing, adams should have at lease a yellow. he should just stay calm, then we may occasionally get a disision in our favour

As for exaggerating, his fines don't even total half that.
October 28, 201510 yr Author He improved the league position, then won the league, and he certainly didn't let it get to the europa league in the first place. Rather stick to talking about this season than trying to trash the last 2. To be fair, barry was stating that the squad that won the champs league was so good that it could win without a manager, and that now we have a squad nowhere near as good, i was just saying that was more or less the squad that mourinho inherited, so why has it declined so much? I actually dont agree that the squad has massively declined, i just think mourinho is making a right mess of it at the moment.
October 28, 201510 yr It was a cup squad. We finished 6th in the league that year, we sacrificed a lot to get that CL win. We put all our eggs in the CL basket
October 28, 201510 yr Author Im not taking away from what Jose did in his first 2 years, he did a great job, i just get the impression that he works very much for the short term and it is coming back to bite him in the arse now. To be honest i dont really care whether he stays or goes, as long as results turn around sharpish. Lets just hope the guys making the decisions make a good decision

October 28, 201510 yr Since we are all trying so see who can nitpick the most, no he (Mourinho) didnt (improve league position). We were 3rd the year before and finished 3rd on the season I guess that depends how you define league position. No, Jose didn't take Chelsea to a higher position on the table. He did, however, take a third place Chelsea team that wasnt anywhere near the title race and made a Chelsea team that pushed to the end for the title despite having no legit striker. He took a team that finished 14 points behind the Champions and made them a team that finished 4 points behind, and then Champions and double winners. Without spending much of a net amount. So no, didn't change Chelsea's rank in the league finish but he did certainly change the position in my mind as well. Only two players from that game are still in Chelsea shirts, a few more if you include the banned. I'm not going to blame Mourinho for players getting older, sorry I just think that's one of the things one just has to accept in life. That CL squad was the tail end of the mighty squad I was referring too. The squad that even in decline won the CL, could of won it multiple times and should of won the league a lot more than once in the years of Mourinho's absence. The other key players in winning that CL that Mourinho got were never BPL champions now were they? The key players added since, Hazard and Co, how close did they come to a BPL title before Mourinho came? 14 points? Don't get me wrong, if you look at pure technical ability and what not, then ya not much of a difference. Unfortunately winning a game of football is about so much more, more so the league. If the 2006 Chelsea squad got to play the current group over 10 games, I know where my money would be. EDIT: And Im not laying whole credit to success of that squad and its creation to Mourinho, nor am I discrediting the achievements of managers who won between his spells. I am saying that Mourinho is the one who took them, molded them further and lead them to two successive BPL tiles and left, returned and won a BPL title in his second season. What makes him unlikely to win another BPL? 3 sh*t months now carries more weight than all that success? Edited October 28, 201510 yr by Barry Bridges
October 29, 201510 yr He nutted a player for f**ks sake. As for exaggerating, his fines don't even total half that. So we go from "pardew who has had loads of outbursts and fights" to "He nutted a player" How many times has Jose been fined & banned for his unsportsmanlike behavior, with European, Italian, Spanish & English authority's, with fines of astronomical amounts.

Well, I'm a big fan of context so I'd probably compare a fine and ban to trophies won ratio..... and I suspect despite all Mourinho has accumulated, his ratio is still better. If we have a manager with bad behaviour, why not take the tremendously successful one? Edited October 29, 201510 yr by Barry Bridges

Me saying he nutted a player doesn't mean he hasn't had loads of outbursts as well. It's just one major example. Now about exaggerating, cannyou quantify your claim mourinho has paid £500k in fines?
October 30, 201510 yr Metro linking is with a move for AVB to replace José. All together now..... Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
October 30, 201510 yr Metro linking is with a move for AVB to replace José. All together now..... Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! It's like Metro can't help themselves, they just consistently come up with crap. I don't know why they are taken seriously, when do they ever report something that actually ends up being true and hasn't already been reported by somebody else first ?
October 30, 201510 yr I know Back to the Future Day was 21 October and it does feel like we're in 1985 - but AVB to replace Jose? Ridiculous.
October 30, 201510 yr I know Back to the Future Day was 21 October and it does feel like we're in 1985 - but AVB to replace Jose? Ridiculous. Then AVB to be replaced by Robbie and we win the CL again. A sound plan IMO.

November 1, 201510 yr Shouldn't this topic be about who we would like to see replace Mourinho if he gets sacked, and not name calling over peoples opinions or where or not he should be sacked...? Personally i would like to see Ancelotti or Pep Guardiola give it a try
November 1, 201510 yr Sean Dyche, Alan Pardew, Marcelo Bielsa, Steve Clarke, Gianfranco Zola, Brendan Rodgers, Lothar Matthäus...
