Controlled the game for the majority of the game, helped I think by palace missing a couple, but also by us being much more aggressive.

Totally agree with you its been 10 years and am sure he's a senior figure in the dressing room he's won it all with us he deserves more respect than he's gotten over the years.

Glad we picked up 3 today. Our next two league games are home to west brom and Everton hope to picks up 6 points from those two. It's time we went on a run. Who knows come end of season we might finish 4th. Still such a shame to see us 14th when really we should be easily top 3 with performances like today.

He is great at tackling, but his downside was passing. He won many tackles but he lost the ball in the same process.

If he can maintain his composure like today's game, he is golden.

I can't remember him losing posession at all today.

Did we move up the table at all from that? I was just looking and my mind went blank as to where we were before the game.

I think we had dropped back down to 16th after yesterday's results and maybe at the start of the weekend we were 15th?  So I think yes we moved up from both. 15th - 16th - 14th.

Mikel is a solid reliable genuine guy who quietly gets on with it. He didn't put a foot wrong today and deserved to be man of the match Simples !

Totally agree ! Mikel is a Senior member of the squad and should be more respected by Chelsea fans.

Think Mikel has good dribbling qualities as well. See his ball control in the middle of the pitch? Held onto it rather well.

Great game today. Sat opposite our fans, great support as ever few Chels around me. Was great listening to all the banter, palace fans were so quiet for spells of the game (where's your famous atmosphere!!) Mikel was great today can't believe different tv and radio gave Motm to different people and only CFC tv gave it to Mikel.

today should leave noone in any doubt that Mourinho was the primary cause of the disaster at Chelsea. It's all verywell blaming players for not performing under him but the manager's primary role is as a conductor of the team and a motivator of men. Mourinho was an utter failure at this and it's clear that the players absolutely hated him.
