Hazard isn't going anywhere... If the guys groin is hurting it would be very silly to continue and make it worst Hazard has been one of the players over the years he has been here not to fake injury... Last season he got chucks kicked out of him and didn't complain... Give the guy break

Well said mate. Some forgot he got kicked about also in the Utd game ( was most fouled on the pitch), didn't see him asking for a sub.

MOTM - Mikel; so cool in the middle of the park I'm sure he gave the back 4 a lot of confidence and he freed Cesc up to do what he does

Loved that, we dominated that second half. The midfield controlled everything, the defensive line was good, and our attackers moved well. There was no more of this rush rush crap, we just played football with calmness and quality.

 

Mikel was my MOTM today, i thought he was the reason why we had so much control. His calmness and no nonsense passing was giving players like Fabregas room to play the ball around. If Mikel plays that well every game, i wouldn't mind seeing him take Matic's place in the side from now on. Matic is not the same player this season at all, he look's clumsy, weak, can't play with his right foot, takes forever to make a pass and makes too many mistakes. We need control in midfield and if Mikel can play like that and stay focused then he should be starting ahead of Matic from now on.

 

Keep playing with calmness and we will get a lot more points on the board.

Sorry but how is that being fickle? We complained about the lack of youth opportunities when we were losing and we're still doing it while we're winning. At the end of the day there's no point in keeping the talented youngsters we have if we can't even give them 15 mins when we're 3-0 up! Give them a chance to show what they can do instead of looking to solve the problem by throwing £30m at somebody.

Think some people in this thread are confused. By saying we would've liked to see Loftus Cheek get some minutes we don't mean we're not happy with the win and the improvements. I can see its confusing since they sound so similar but I can assure you, we are happy with today's performance.

This is the first game I didn't watch since September as I am stuck in an airport. I guess I'll be doing a lot of non-watching for the rest of the season! 

 

Great display, and great to see the boys expand on a lead instead of sitting back.

Fans have been incredible. Never stopped. The Mikel chants in this half have been classic!

 

What were they?  I heard "he's won more than you" but what else?

 

Also liked "Patrick Bamford, he left cos you're sh*t" and "we're gonna win the league"

Respect to Pardew he said game wasn't close and we dominated great honest analysis by him abs Cesc ran the show.. Said palace couldn't get near him. To get honest this is true cesc and mikel we pretty good hardly gave away the ball

Can't believe I'm saying it, but Mikel was immense today. Very solid, confident and no mistakes. Made our midfield look better than it was all season.

 

He should start ahead of Matic for the next few games and have a chance to prove that he's the better option at the holding role than the Nemanja.

Great performance, Scrooge like at the back and clinical up top. Great to see us getting bodies in the box again. Costa looked good again today.

Mikel just re confirmed the atmosphere behind the scenes is better. One day we will find out,what happened and why.

Glad we picked up 3 today. Our next two league games are home to west brom and Everton hope to picks up 6 points from those two. It's time we went on a run. Who knows come end of season we might finish 4th. Still such a shame to see us 14th when really we should be easily top 3 with performances like today.
