Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

Featured Replies

Conte is the one of the best manager in the World.

He Learned to Barzagli,Bonucci,Chiellini and the other Juventus Player how they stay on the pitch.

Whit the Conte's work the Juventus became the best club in the world to play football in the phase without ball possession.

I saw Arsenal-Chelsea this week end and I can say that this team isn't a Conte team.

All Conte's teams are famous for a great tactical knowledge and for the solid defense.

The Problem isn't Conte...the problem is that the players don't follow him well..

You can see from the press conference conte was hurt by the Liverpool and Arsenal defeat you could see he wanted to explode. I imagine he has learnt more in the last two defeats than the has in the matches we have won which I believe will enable him to make the correct choices going forward.

It is Conte's fault if he cannot get world class players like Ivan, Cahill, Pedro, Oscar, etc to perform.

Not its not if for two matches you give your players instructions and their brains freezes on the pitch and make calamitous errors conte cannot control that

Conte don't accept to lose....NEVER.

Lose is his nightmare most big..

He want win all, everything...is very football animal, he think to tactical football 24 hours in a day...

This is Conte in the first year to Juventus...when the A.C. Milan of Ibrahimovic and thiago silva was firts and the Juventus second..

look like all players watch him..look the fire of mister...

I agree.

I don't think this is all down to him, although if this continues he could be gone by xmas. Shame really as I think he's the right man for us, assuming of course that he gets the right tools for the job rather than the complete tools that he has to work with at the moment.

Calamity Cahill or Branston (I'm in a complete feckin pickle) Ivanovic trying to organise a defence is like Wayne Rooney trying to teach quantum physics or my 73 year old mammy trying to master breakdancing. Futile.

None of our current defensive line up (excluding JT) could organise an empty sock drawer.

I blame Roman.

And Emanolo.

The most critic moments with Conte at the Juventus was in his last year.....the Juventus in the first matches played a very horrible football and lost against the average fiorentina 4-2...Roma was first to 5 points over the Juventus.

At the end of the season Juventus won the title with the record of points (102)

Interesting point.

Although to be fair, Juventus didn't have Gary Cahill in defence.

Very disillusioned with this club. When we won the title under Jose, I really thought we had an excellent structure in place and could then kick on to be back to Europe's elite. How it has all crashing down and the board holds no responsibility. Really sad.

We have conceded 12 goals in just 4 games, that's just not acceptable. Something needs to happen. I know Aina is young but will he really do worse than Ivanovic, or would Alonso?
How many goals have we conceded because of Ivanovic screwing up? Cahill should be dropped as soon as possible as well, but with JT and Zouma out that's easier said than done.

Didn't we have to do our stinking best to keep Aina from signing for Arsenal? Surely there's a reason for that..

Couldnt agree more. During the title winning season I though we had a young-ish squad with a succession plan for all the aging players.

Now two years down the line we have aged further with no real transition plan. Granovskaia and Emenalo are incompetent.

Bonucci in the first years at the Juventus was very very worse to Cahill...

The Sanchez goal remember me this goal of real madrid against Juventus with the mistake of Caceres

Nothing is lost.

Chelsea we need a new "colonna vertebrale"

The great Chelsea had a lot of good player and a TOP PLAYER for repart (Cech,Terry,Lampard,Drogba)

Cortois and Hazard are top players...you need a Great defenders and striker...

Not sure this board will back the manager. Also, I have my doubts about Courtois now. De Gea managed outstanding saves behind a terrible United defense. Courtois hardly manages to save anything that he shouldn't. All his saves are generally regulation saves which above average keepers should make. Add braindead moments like giving away needless penalties.

Just cries like a baby in the media.

YES...you focus the point...

Conte's team were famous for not conceded some goals to the other teams....

Hello to everyone,

I am a Juventus Fan and in BPL I am a fan of the blues.

Congratulations for your new manager...I Know very well Conte and how train his team.

Is one of the best manager in the world, very underrated...he is a Mix by Fabio Capello and Louis Van Gaal..he live for football 24 hours all days...he is a very maniac of football tactics..and Arrigo Sacchi love him...

His way of football is perfect for the Premier League.

i Think that he start at Chelsea with a 442 and he love football players like Diego Costa...

I'm here If you have some questions.

Sorry for my English

I Wrote this the 6 April...and I can confirm this

The thing i also realised when thinking about the players underperforming is that you have to be careful just dropping them because they have cliques in the dressing room and if you drop a player who's go lots of support and is seen as a senior member it can be even worst i believe conte wanted to easy them out of the team and with the last two matches he may just be given the green light to do so without causing a rift in the dressing room. Any player who tries to not be cause a rift should be booted out and I mean any

Chelsea actually have a good collection of players. New additions was made in the summer to freshen up the squad who could all arguably make the first team, something which wasn't done the summer before.

In my opinion Chelsea have a top Keeper, in Costa and Batman I don't think any other team in the premier league have a better collection of 2 forwards. Chelsea have the best DM. Top player in Hazard.

On paper I do rate the Chelsea defence just as good as anything in the premier league barring Spurs. Big problem is having John Terry as your best CB.

For me most of the problems lay at Contes door, he has Chelsea playing this style of football. There has been no obvious changes from any other season. Look at Pep at City and the football they are playing.

Cahill has been making mistakes for a while now. Conte could of easily of taken Cahill or Ivan out of the firing line against Arsenal.

Alonso should be playing a minimum 10-15 games on the spin to at least give the guy a chance. Maybe look at playing Hazard with Costa, surely this would help both Fabregas and Costa. Hazard has great close control and is so quick with his feet and Fabregas would have an outball. With Hazard as number 10 he wouldn't need to track back as much.

I don't think Pedro suits Chelsea, you put him in the Arsenal team and he will flourish. Pedro needs quick football, interchanging and one twos. Chelsea are too slow. Pedro also likes the ball through and without Fabregas he has no chance.

I would give Moses a chance, something different on the right hand side who can run at defenders with pace and be direct.

I would play Kante with Fabregas. Moses on the right with Hazard in the middle and Pedro on the left. I think the partnership of Pedro, Hazard, Fabregas and Costa could work with Moses adding something different on the right.

Oscar, William and Matic just don't do enough.

I know f*** all though and just my opinion.

Conte please sort out these set pieces.

Maybe the Arsenal game opened Contes eyes and realised you can't keep playing the same old crap.

I think this is a major problem.

He doesnt have like for like replacements..... say he benches Ivan and Cahill and he brings in other options and they dont work out, then recalls Ivan and Cahill who may have questionable attitudes towards Conte goign forward.

I think Jose was aware of that, and continued to roll the dice with Ivan etc every week and the result was always the same, failure.

I agree it could be an issue.

But you can't have players calling the shots.

Get them to toe the line or kick them out the door.

The plain and simple truth is it’s rollin’ on over - the Chelsea deadwood stage that is - and if the game against Arsenal is anything to go by we are already in a dangerous land and there’s no time to delay. So Antonio, by all means whip-crack away, whip-crack away, whip-crack away! Apologies for that rather self-indulgent trip down Calamity Jane musical memory lane, but nothing seemed to sum up our plight better, nor pinpoint the overriding factor that has led to our reaching such a parlous state, namely a club cartel made up of sluggish, rapidly ageing players and the need for Conte to either whip them into shape or relieve them of their first team duties. For some, Cahill and Ivanovic and to a lesser extent Matic, being rested may well come as a blessed relief, but for others such as Willian and Oscar it would be nothing short of a shock, albeit a short, sharp one. In truth, those five sorely need to take five and if everything else had been equal on both the injury and squad strength fronts we can only hope their respective respite packages would have been put in place a lot earlier than the Hull game.

But, of course, everything else is never going to be equal - transfer targets still remain as such, JT gets crocked, crises of confidence abound and Conte is (probably as a direct result of all three) still nowhere near knowing his best line-up or formation. Trusting his experienced players hasn’t helped either, as it has been misplaced in the main and probably led the Italian to drift aimlessly into that oh-just-one-more-time mode selection-wise on Saturday. It proved to be one time too many and for my money was Conte’s first mistake of real note. More of the same-old after that humbling against Liverpool should have been avoided at all costs, even if it meant bringing Victor Moses into a five-man midfield and taking the gamble of going 3-5-2 for the first time this season. In the end, backing away from that switch until as late as the third goal going in smacked more of desperation than inspiration.

So, deadwood stage we are definitely at, but if by some chance Conte should actually take all this bull by those Carabao horns and decide to make wholesale changes for the Hull game will it really be an indication that he’s addressing the problem at source, or merely be the machinations of a man seeking a short term solution? After all, unless it was all part of some self-harm master plan, he can’t have been working towards this situation, but now that it exists and urgent action is required why not grasp the opportunity with both hands, then place them around the necks of certain individuals and wring the changes for effect, if nothing else? C’mon Antonio, play Nate, bet Victor, SOS RLC, hey Michy [let’s see if you really can] blow my mind, Ola Aina!… fit them all in somehow, because it would do wonders for your reputation as a hard taskmaster whilst at the same time rattling the cages of a few old birds who have begun to sit all too comfortably on their first team perches. Go on, be our guest, whip-crack away.

Hazard has 1 Premier League title.

Sanchez and KDB have 0 Premier League titles.

Stupid argument I know but Hazard carried us from Jan to May that season and was imperious. Albeit, I don't like his mentality, he is world class and on his day a better player than both.
