Chelsea fined £375,000 for failing to control players against Tottenham

It's because we're owned by a billionaire. FA doesn't like sugar daddy clubs. This isn't a surprise considering dembele was the only player from spurs who got a retrospect punishment for his actions that day.

I guessed people got worked up on this... Our crimes have accumulated. That is why we got that much more. Pretty simple.

The FA doesn't love us enough to care to make an example of us.

Yeah but everyone has had it in for us since roman bought us. We seem to have always been seen as the devil of the league for "buying it" at the time. For that reason the FA seem to target us, and have done for years.

The Club should appeal and if it doesn't work take the FA to court for robbers. I know this won't happen, but enough is enough, and it is just shameful from the FA the bias they show every f*cking time.

If anything, our players showed impressive restraint in the onslaught of unpunished abuse they got. Costa in particular. I can't imagine many players, many people for that matter, reacting as well to being eye gouged and having snot thrown at them in the span of an hour.

It's end of the season and FA is money hungry.

FA is so corrupted it's not even funny.

The FA is money hungry for sure. But why go after our money and not theirs?

What did our players do in this game to deserve punishment?

But it specifically mentions that this is Spurs 3rd time they've been charged in the same period.

So the facts are:
- Spurs received 7 (SEVEN) more yellows.
- Spurs failed to receive a single red when 5 should have been sent off.
- Spurs were the ones who initiated the mass brawls.
- Pochettino invaded the pitch.
- Spurs are also serial offenders.
- One of the Spurs players has subsequently been banned for violent conduct.

Why are we being fined more? It's clear, with documented proof, that the FA have a vendetta against Chelsea FC. Any logical person who takes off whatever coloured specs they have can see this. I'm sure even Spudulike can see this.

Chelsea need to refuse to pay and take this to court and cite all the previous examples. It's extortion and outrageous discrimination.

Pushed, acted aggressively. The kind of things we have done before and got punished for. Failed to control themselves. You saw the game.

If I was Roman I'd find the best lawyers in England and pay them whatever they want to build an airtight case against the F.A. They have been targeting us for multiple seasons now and I'm bloody sick of it. Gather the evidence from previous seasons, see if we really have a case or if it's all in our minds and then sue the f**k out of them.

Specifically which acts. We did nothing, our players were booted all over the pitch and reacted as expected, as many players in every game react. We did nothing worthy of punishment.

Unfortunately it goes back to games in the past where we have failed to control players. Each time the fine gets bigger and they decide how long we have to go trouble free. ( abit like a suspended sentence) It will be interesting to see our next offence or to see others with equally bad records. I don't know if they can ever threaten points deduction.

I don't know what other games they're referring to, but this one should not count toward any tally. We did not lose control of our players.

The match vs villa back in 2014...not sure about the rest - that is the only one that comes to mind....maybe the match vs lpuke last year in the Capital 1 Cup

This was in the Mail:

Chelsea were fined £65,000 for failing to control their players in a game against West Brom in January, £50,000 for a similar offence against West Ham in November and £40,000 for a fracas during the game against Arsenal.

They were fined £30,000 in March last year for failing to control their players against Everton. The clubs have a right to appeal.

So the fines have gone 30k > 40k > 50k > 65k > 375k. Can there be any sane explanation for the 600% increase in the latest fine, especially when our players were not the ones out of control?

It says we can appeal. We'd better bloody appeal.

On the long run that would bite entire club in the ass!

Probably the instigator? Probably? Give over. Where exactly on that video did one of our players instigate anything, cross the line etc .

You saw blue shirts there pushing and shoving. I did. We've done it before. Hence the fine. I think it is pretty simple.

Even then, we got fined MORE, and as another poster pointed out, exponentially more than for offences when we actually did instigate.

Making it up as they go along. Maybe we should have let spurs push us around without retaliation like a bunch of wusses but I doubt that would change anything.

Going back at the last incident, before Spurs, they might have said to the club: Next time this happens, ANYTHING happens, you will get a hefty fine. Do you understand? We understand, sorry.

Any chance of that?
