If a suavre good looking man does a similar job Sam did at Bolton he will be on the shortlist for every top job with a vacancy, unfortunately the perception people like to use that he's a "fat repulsive long ball man" has worked against him.

Should have stuck to the same style of football we played against Germany instead of shoehorning Rooney into the squad.

Did you see his Bolton team with Okocha and co and West Ham in 2014 with Sakho and Valencia? When he has the resources he will play good football, he just won't try it when he doesn't have the players and will adapt otherwise, which is why he's got the hoofball reputation.

If the FA are going to look abroad, then yes maybe look at other options, but if we are sticking with England manager's then he is the only option, hes the only tactically astute English manager about (Eddie Howes teams can't defend for sh*t).

I said it when the team was announced, i said we would suffer by shoehorning Rooney into the team and it's showing. We hadn't played Rooney ONCE in the position he is playing in now before the tournament and Hodgson suddenly thought it would work when the tournament begins ? he's a f**king idiot.

 

We had the best set up we have had in years when we played Germany and Hodgson ditched it to fit Rooney in.
