Belgium looked good tonight with that display.

Fair play to Hungary for playing an open game which led to Begium counter attacking them.

 

Conceding an early goal didn't leave us with much of a choice to be honest. Then again, defending is not our strength so parking the bus was not really an option.

Barring we don't slip on a banana skin against Iceland what do u think our chances are against the French...

I think it will partly depend on how easy the victory is against Iceland (if there is a victory). If it's a nail biter, chances against France aren't so good. If it's a comfortable victory with players all doing well, confidence will be high and provide an advantage. France looked underwhelming despite the good second half.

No France can't play Belgium until the Final.

Hungary created plenty of chances. Belgium aren't a lock for the final with Italy and Spain in that half of the draw.

So... Italy to progress or home tonight? For Chelsea I hope Conte comes as early as possible as we are heading for a shortened pre-season again however he would be in better spirits after a good tournament with Italy.

Don't think it'll make much difference when Italy go out.

If they get knocked out this evening I would imagine Conte will take a couple of weeks holiday before starting at Chelsea.

The club already have their transfer targets so it's all out of his hands right now anyway.

Thanks. It was a performance no one expected, the best we hoped for was scraping through in third place with some luck. Winning the group was a fantastic achievement, now we have to build on this with a good run in the WC qualifiers. I just hope I don't have to wait another 30 years to see my country participating in the WC/Euro again...
