It's all this 'free flowing, attractive football ' media cliche for Spuds this season and last that gets me. Granted they have played good football. No doubt or problem with that. However, football is about far more than that. Scoring more goals than the opposition for example. Oh and defending well.

Reminds me of Newcastle under Kevin Keegan in the mid 1990s. Don't know if that is a fair comparison of the two teams.

Strange nobody mentions their sub par away form either.

They've dropped points in 10 league games away from home this season....so far.

To be fair mate, either Martin Tyler or Jeff Sterling mentioned it last night.

However the media are in general seemingly carried away with the 'free flowing attractive football ' cliche.

The medit can push whatever bs they want. Everton at home, United at home, and city away, are 3 performances at a level Tottenham haven't reached all season.

Apart from beating us at whl, I can't remember another big performance for them. I don't think arsenal counts these days.

They have young english talent, and they don't spend big, so the media will always big them up.

But the fact is we have out scored 'the most attactive' team in the league.

We have took 12 more points away from home than 'the best team in the country'.

and weve dumped said world beaters out of the cup on our way to an fa cup final.

Both their fans and their fan boys/apologists in the media keep spouting the nine game winning run as a sign they're not bottle jobs...what about getting knocked out in cl group stage, losing to Gent, losing to us in Cup semi and playing like they did last night in a game where they could close the gap to one point as evidence to the contrary?...they didn't have much to lose in the League up until last night...but when the test and pressure was really on, when they could really show their title credentials and put us under with a performance like we produced at Everton last week, they folded...where was the mighty Alli, Kane and Eriksen last night?

I'm sorry but it was a PHONEY title race that Sky hyped up with Chelsea 7 points ahead ages ago. The FA support Chelsea, giving them the easiest run-in anyone could have dreamed, while Spurs had the hardest, inc away to enemy today, home to Arse and United and away to Leicester (Champions) last match of season.

Great example of the delusion and now we're getting excuses for failure too...rewind the clock back to the trip to Wembley a few weeks ago...they thought they were the dogs bollox going to win the double

They deserved to win that game though because they played on the front foot unlike Chelsea - Jermaine Jenas.

Love this. As someone said recently, they are mad we have already played our hardest games and are still top, as if that makes us look... worse?

Dustin Menno: Tottenham Hotspur will crush West Ham. And then make t-shirts. Possibly a DVD. 4-0 Spurs.

Matthew Pachniuk: West Ham don’t want to play this game. Lets set the tone for the weekend. 3-0 Spurs.

Alex Greenberg: I'm already having bad flashbacks to this fixture last year. I think it's tight, but Dele gets one to the great dismay of the London Stadium. 1-0 Spurs.

Jake Meador: I'm with Alex. Game is annoying and bad but Dele to the rescue. 1-0 Spurs.

GN Punk: We all struggle to watch this match because the cameras are seven miles away from the pitch, but in the end, Spurs coast. 3-0 Spurs.

Earl of Shoop: In what is probably one of his last appearances for Spurs (*sobbing sounds*), Kyle Walker recreates his beautiful 2015/2016 outside of the foot goal against the same garbage opponents. Also we score a few other goals because that's what we do this season. Spurs 4-0.

Pardeep Cattry: This'll probably be easier than the last time Spurs played West Ham. 2-0 Tottenham.

Didn't several members of our forum predict a comfortable win against Crystal Palace a few weeks ago....?

Hopefully Palace can beat City. I'm a big fan of Sam; I'm impressed at the change he's brought about at Palace, particularly after a rocky start.

Palace winning will also send some money my way, too.

I'd much rather City get top 4 than United Spud.

Good luck with your bet though.

Also, I;ve said it before, but Sterling is soooooo overrated. He's f**king terrible. Can't believe how much City paid for him.

If he wasn't English he'd be nowhere near our starting xi, Sane makes him look so average.
