I do. I don't think he's Chelsea standard. 

 

Even at Fiorentina he was somewhat inconsistent. He's fairly good going forward but mediocre defensively...but then again so was Baba so why would you even bother loaning him out if you are going to buy someone of roughly the same caliber and type?

Clearly more to the Rodriguez "release" clause. Theres no way hes available for 20 mill and no teams have activated it

If he continues his improvement from last season this could turn out to be a good signing to be fair.

Supposedly RR release clause ended on 1 July 2016...so maybe the market price is too high for us or the MA discussions are being used as a tactic to drag RR's open market price down a bit...

Apparently he played in the Sunderland side which made it to the League Cup Final in 2014, which I have absolutely no memory of.

Was young to be fair and he was actually quite good towards the end at Bolton. 

 

He's a decent left back, nothing special. Would rather have Ake.

It just makes the loaning out all the more strange.

I'd understand if it were a top quality international player coming in but I'm convinced our younger boys would do just as good a job as a player such as this guy based on what I remember of him.
