Leicester Vs Chelsea (EFLcup) Tues 20/09/ 2016 KO 19:45 GMT

Leicester's goals shouldn't happen, mistakes that should not happen on our level. Begovic has a part at them both as well, Pedro can't just shoot the ball to the central and let another counter-attack when our defenders aren't at their positions.

Finally, Fabregas gets his chance to play and until now he disappoints me, the assist is the only thing he did in the first half. Matic had few good runs, but defensively he's a little bit late.

Loftus-Cheek is decent, I think he was positive for us this half, he did simple actions, great ball to Batshuayi, he also won most of the headers for us. The only one that took a shoot.

Batshuayi still has to wait for his chance, he must be patient and get ready to steal the ball.

The thing that bothers me most about this is the complete lack of urgency.

The tactic appears to be (infuriatingly slowly) pass the ball between the back four - then punt when Leicester (unsurprisingly) don't dive in and leave their men.

Of our front 4 Moses is isolated and continually doing too much when he receives the ball, Batshuayi is completely out of his depth challenging Morgan and Wasilewski aerially and Loftus Cheek's been largely invisible.

Pedro's the only player that's looked capable of making something happen, he's being given so much space. And even then, his horrific clearance set up their second goal.

I'd be bringing on Costa, Kante and Hazard at half time. If we could I'd add Courtois and Willian (and you know what, Aina & Chalobah too).

If this is instructed play then the tactics need to change. Otherwise half the team needs a boot.

Lets stop comparing last season as it was a sh*t storm. One clean sheet in 5 premier league games. Most of the goals we've conceded with our first team out have been good goals.

Why not compare it to last season ? it's the same basic mistakes with the same outcome. And none of the goals we have conceded in the first team have come from good goals, they have all been from mistakes.

Begovic, Cahill, Alonso, Fabregas, Matic and RLC were all pants in that first half.

Awful stuff.

Can see now why Cesc isn't starting he looks so off the pace.

Cahill without JT holding his hand looks like he should move back to Bolton.

Worrying.

We still can win that, throw Hazard and Costa in, we must bring Costa to battle with Morgan and let Batshuayi have some freedom. And Hazard to change the game.

COME ON CHELS!!!!!!!!

I know it's only 45 minutes, but what's the verdict on Alonso? Better than Ake and Aina?

Hasn't impressed at all. should have marked Okazaki for the 2nd rather than leaving him.

This 4-1-4-1 is very reminiscent to the sort of formation that Pulis would use. Flat, rigid and just overall uninspiring, we have so many talented players that just go to waste in this formation

Begovic hasn't had a good game since early last season, he definitely has quality but it's done a complete Matic

he's in a bit of a difficult situation in that he will never be better than courtois but he probably still wants to be playing regularly. it probably means he's putting a lot of pressure on himself and it is helping no-one.

It's the partnership with Matic for me. I think it would work in Italy, but Matic and Fabregas won't work in England, there is no time to settle on the ball in England. For me, Fabregas has to play further forward, it's the only way we will get anything out of him now. He may not see it as his best position, but he is our best passer of the ball and we need someone like him there instead of helping Matic protect the defence.

I don't like Fabregas playing too far forward, he's no good receiving the ball with his back to goal.

You want him picking up the ball from deep and dictating play but tonight he looks slow, sluggish and his passing is off.
