My boy Diego continues he's sublime start to the season.

costa. great finishes, should've had a hat trick really, but his general play was significantly better than it has been this season.

thought the midfield three were very strong when they were together. understand why oscar and matic were subbed, thought kante struggled alongside fabregas once the game stretched at the end and although cesc wasn't bad when he came on I think these three look unlikely to be broken up any time soon.

Costa was sensational, I do wish we would get the ball to him in the box more.  I don't think anyone will be more angry than himself about that miss.

Thought Kante was extremely poor.  He was about a metre off where he should have been the whole game and didn't make any notable tackles.  Seemed to be shrugged off a lot and was the equivalent of "token pressure".
Cahill and to a much lesser extent Terry were too slow on the ball all game.  I'm not saying I saw that second goal coming, but I don't blame the ref.  Gary had been taking longer and longer with the ball as the game went on and should never have been in that position.

In saying that, the attackers should have done there job to get a second much earlier, so overall i think it was a very poor game. We only had one killer edge, the rest were fairly mute. I think Swansea are a real chance to be relegated so only getting 1 point will really hurt if that becomes a realisation

Costa. 

Would say Matic was a close second but was much less influential defensively in the second half. Oscar too had a good first half tracking back and laying off an assist for Diego-al, in the second half however demonstrated why he isn't a reliable box to box CM in defensive situations.

Overall defensively we were pretty abysmal in the second half tbh, we were exposed too easily on the counter and struggled to contain Fer. Kante was no match for Fer in terms of height and physicality, I dare say we could have done with Luiz or Mikel protecting the back four alongside Matic. Kante against the likes of Pogba/Fellaini could be a recipe for disaster.
