December 13, 20169 yr I hope to god we take advantage of arsenals defeat. Need to take advantage and widen the gap. Arsenal also play city next so we could be looking at a good lead if we take it
December 13, 20169 yr Win this and we make a 6 point gap at the top. Just hope we don't take them for granted cause as inconsistent as they are they can cause problems for anyone.
December 13, 20169 yr Really look forward to this one, 6 points clear at this stage of the season would be massive. I reckon Conte will go all out in this one, and worry about the Saturday game on Friday. We will have over 60% of possession, need Cesc to unlock their defence from the kick off.
December 13, 20169 yr Play crack from the start matic on the bench to tighten it up later if we need to win the game early and rest some players
December 13, 20169 yr We can't underestimate them, I'd rather just go in with our strongest available team and get the 3 pts
December 13, 20169 yr Heard hazard didn't travel with the squad. Hopefully being rested and nothing serious as he was training today.

He isn't this cheating, racist monster that most of the media and opposition fans want people to believe. Last year JT paid for a young fan's funeral. Let's be honest, JT has sometimes acted like a prick to other adults. But when it comes to young people, whether it's an ill child or an academy player looking for a mentor, JT has a heart of gold.
December 14, 20169 yr Good thing we're playing the bottom at this time. Heavy schedule ahead of us. No doubt, no game is easy. Perhaps when you're dealing with a team with their backs to the corner, there could be trouble, however, on a positive note (and we should be positive mostly), is that 3 here puts us 6 points above Arse. So definitely worth the push for the very top.
December 14, 20169 yr For those traveling to Sunderland tomorrow Update on Bradley: Bradley said that he would love to score a goal for Sunderland, so Chelsea have arranged for him to take a shot against Begovic at 7:10, right before pre-match warm-ups. http://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2016/december/special-mascot-at-chelsea-game They had to do it before the game because they are concerned that his body will be too tired to make it to halftime They're a bit concerned that the stadium will be pretty empty then and ask that people who arrive early be in their seats when he scores the goal. 5 minutes into the game, there will be a 1 minute round of applause accompanied by chanting "There's only one Bradley Lowery." There was also talk of people lighting up their phones during that minute. I don't know if that's still planned. Thank you to the traveling away fans for making his final Christmas the best Christmas ever!

His parents are trying one last ditch round of treatment, but the odds are very slim. This will be his final Christmas. I'm hoping that our club can give him a signed ball or something next week. He can't have too many gifts this Christmas! If any of you have a direct contact at the club, could you please contact them to arrange something? Barring that, could you please give me their contact details? It would be better if you did it since they probably get bombarded with messages. I have been in touch a few times with a friend of their family, and I can provide their address if the club wishes to send him something instead of giving it at the game. Also, the Sunderland fans are planning to chant, "There's only one Bradley Lowery" during the 5th minute of next week's game. If you are attending, please join in. This is just sad. I do hope that everyone who are there can join in on the chant. I hope the Bridge resonates with this message during the 5th minute of the game!

Aside from Costa he is our most important player. Maybe we will see a bit of rotation from conte? Hope hazard not being there does not blow up in our faces. Edited December 14, 20169 yr by axman2526
December 14, 20169 yr If hazard is not available that is a big blow i think. We can't take sunderland lightly
December 14, 20169 yr maybe picked up an injury at training yesterday or he's just being rested, hopefully it's the latter (or he was at the toilet taking a giant dump)
December 14, 20169 yr Another game against a difficult side. I think we'll win. But I reckon it'll be a close game. I'll happily take 1-0 Chelsea.
December 14, 20169 yr Very tempted to rest Luiz who is clearly injured and maybe hazard. Fabregas likely to be very fit. Could considerCourtois Azpi Ivan CahillMoses. Alonso Kante fabWiiilian. Pedro CostaThree changes seems a lot though. In which case matic in for fab and the fab on early in h2.
December 14, 20169 yr If Hazard is out Fabregas needs to play. Hope Hazard is ready to play though, resting players away in this league shouldn't be an option except for injuries/suspensions. A win would be big tonight!
December 14, 20169 yr Matt Law saying Hazard hasn't traveled with the squad and that Willian is likely to take his spot for tonights game.
December 14, 20169 yr Hazard got kicked around the place by City and WBA and took some heavy knocks, if hes anyway not fit enough or not feeling it, he should be rested. Yes hes our most dangerous player but we have a decent enough replacement in Willian. After last nights Everton result this game is becoming a 6 pointer, win here and Arsenal play City at the weekend and Liverpool play Everton, so theres serious scope to be up and over the horizon for the weekend as 3 of our rivals are playing each other and at least 1 of them will be dropping points. As others have said, I'd play the strongest, fittest available XI and worry about Palace on the trip back down from the north tonight. A draw tonight wouldnt be the worse result either but a win sets us up very nicely for a congested christmas period.
