December 24, 20169 yr Would you offer lamps a 6 month contract... Reasons for It will always sit badly with me that his last moment in the prem where in a city shirt. Should have been in Chelsea blue be great to see him and JT bow out together potentially at the end of this year His expirenece could be valuable in the runin another prem medal for the man against: could rock the environment, we are finally transitioning from old to new, not an easy thing to do but and adding an old face could upset the balance would he come in on a low wage ?
December 24, 20169 yr For purely sentimental reasons, that would be awesome. I doubt it will happen, but the way football is these days you can never say anything is impossible... Edited December 24, 20169 yr by Jezz
December 24, 20169 yr no. he's 38. lets be realistic- he is unlikely to have much else to offer at this level and those minutes should go to a young player. plus he'll be back at chelsea in some other capacity sooner or later. Edited December 24, 20169 yr by g3.7

It's disgraceful in the manner we let him go -- and how he was treated at the end. And his last Prem game was as a City player (partly his own choice), and that is not right! He's a Chelsea legend and should retire in blue, alongside JT. Hopefully can cap the season off with Prem winners medals for them!
December 24, 20169 yr just a reminder- we've won nothing at all this season. lets stop talking as if winning the title is a done deal, and like we can afford to bring old boys back to top up their medal collections.
December 24, 20169 yr Don't know why we'd bring back this Man City traitor when we've got proper Chelsea midfield legends like Mikel still on the books who can't get a game.

LOL. You're awesome Ploks, seriously. Team against Bournemouth: Tibo Azpi-Luiz-Cahilll Moses-Mikel-Lampard-Alonso Pedro----Costa-----Hazard
December 24, 20169 yr Well what's Lampard done for us really? Anyone can score against f**king Bolton, Liam O'Neil (who I can only reasonably assume is Gary O'Neil's even sh*tter brother) managed it last week.

December 24, 20169 yr No, purely for selfish reasons. I want to be able to say I was at the Bridge for his last appearance there in Chelsea blue.

December 24, 20169 yr but seriously...six month contract...low wage...coming off the bench to do a job to see a win out...yeah why not...chelsea legend...lets see him finish his career at the blues. 8 #retiretheshirt

December 24, 20169 yr Can we just move on please. These guys are legends but their time is up and we need to move on.
December 24, 20169 yr Why not just give him a one day contract at the end of season. He'd need to play 10 matches to qualifyfor a PL medal anyway right. No way should he or could do that. This is a ridiculous thread
December 24, 20169 yr Bring him back, put him on the bench for one game only, against the pikeys, we get a last minute pen, bring him on. Job done.
December 24, 20169 yr He would probably be our best midfielder after Kante , doubt it will happen but i would love it. He will probably take a role in the club.
