May 14, 20179 yr Hope we don't make the mistakes of 10/11 and 15/16. Improve the squad, get the players we want. No f**king about. Add to that a good title challenge, a good CL run and hopefully another trophy (or two). I just hope we don't have one of those seasons where we have regrets.

May 15, 20179 yr This is stupidly early, I know....we haven't even lifted the trophy yet - but I am sure Conte has been having moments in his quiet time to reflect and think "what do I have to do next year" Since the mid 80's, only Joe Fagan, Fergie, and Jose have won the league twice or more in a row. What do you think are our priorities for next year? With Europe on the horizon we need to armour up. Not sure what we need, more depth of course, but perhaps a centre back (JT replacement), another attacking mid and a striker?
May 15, 20179 yr Please just spend the money on some actual top class players. There has been quite a few encouraging reports that Conte will get quite the warchest to go after the likes of Van Dijk, Sanchez, Lukaku/Morata and so on and i hope it's players at that level we'll buy. I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be favorites to retain the title if we have a good summer. We have the best manager in the league, we have a fantastic core already and we just need to keep building the way Conte has started and our rivals will fear us.
May 15, 20179 yr I expect Champions League get the priority. A few players have come out and said that's the goal. Only Luiz and Cahill will be left next season from the team that won it for us. Hazard and Thibo are probably dying for it most.
May 15, 20179 yr We should be aiming to retain the title first and foremost. We should also look to perform well in the CL, though I wouldn't favour it over the premier league (yet). We should keep the squad competitive. Always look to improve the balance and competition for places. They don't necessarily have to be world class shirt sellers, the right players for the right positions. Good footballing coaches know this.
May 15, 20179 yr Title challenge, semi finals of champions league, a domestic trophy and a number of key signings for the future of the football club. FYI, this should be the minimum expectation for any Chelsea season during current state of play.
May 15, 20179 yr Title challenge, one of the cups and semi's of the CL if we strengthen well in the summer.
May 15, 20179 yr We have been fantastic this season, but we still need improvements. A CM, a full back or two, a striker, possibly a cb but i'm not overly fussed if don't sign one. What i think we really need though is that superstar. We have one in Hazard, but i think if we want to start competing with the best in Europe again, we need another.
May 15, 20179 yr Epl title if we loose it to anyone it will be spurs or city and i dont want that. Last 8 of cl and at least 1 domestic final. As for players i think its time a handful of the reserves were given a chance the likes of baba, christensen, tammy and Kennedy sound good. Maybe another world class stricker and cb
May 15, 20179 yr First of all, I think some of the boys right now will leave. That's what where we should go over first.
May 15, 20179 yr I think were make our bench deeper. I think City have deeper bench than us. Especially with Terry leaving.

After tonight I think a CB should be on the list lol then again Christensen is coming back so maybe we don't need anyone else.

Yeah i would agree, if he's still in the first XI, which is still in the balance, depends who Conte brings in, but if it is a BIG name center back, i think Gary is in trouble. If we bring Christensen back we could see next season a changing of the guard from Cahill to Christensen.

May 16, 20179 yr Defend the title. First priority. I would love for us to aim for a domestic treble. I think the squad needs another season to go deep in the CL. So not too fussed about it.
May 16, 20179 yr What the hell is the difference between the semi and any other knockout round of CL? We should be aiming to win that trophy, what the hell difference doesn't make if we get to the quarters or semis, if we dont win either way? Don't get me wrong, it's not a failure if we don't win the Champions League, I just don't see how 'make the CL semi-final' is a goal or expectation. Surely if we get there we'll all hope to win it; no?

I agree it's unfair to Cahill, but I feel like his position is the most vulnerable of the possible candidates. I doubt Christensen will come in and immediately take his spot, but if we were to buy someone (like Van Dijk), the question is raised. I think Cesar should get the nod. You just know he'll be in the team somewhere. Maybe I'm just being influenced by the fact that Dave kissed the badge........

I think the point is that in the semis, you're very likely playing the best of the best and there's no shame in losing to such teams (though we should be aiming to beat them and win it).
May 16, 20179 yr League title, FA Cup, deep League Cup run. For the CL, it would depend on how our summer goes. If we bring in what I perceive to be the right players, I'd expect us to win it. Otherwise, I don't think the CL should be do or die just yet.
