The media have always tried to portray a strained relationship between the club and Christensen, as though he resented being "farmed out".
July 28, 20178 yr somewhat agree with allardyce here. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/ruben-loftuscheek-may-have-been-another-dele-alli-if-hed-left-chelsea-sooner-says-sam-allardyce-a3598111.html “It's nice to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek going to Crystal Palace,” Allardyce told the Press Association. “I think if he'd done it five years ago he may well have been another Dele Alli or Harry Kane but unfortunately his development has been blocked by staying at Chelsea so long. “There aren't enough (players) getting into first-team football as quickly as possible. You should be playing first-team football at some level at 17, not 20 or 21. Dele Alli is the pefect example of that, coming through the ranks at MK Dons. “We need more players playing football at league level and ultimately going back to their club and trying to prove themselves.”
July 28, 20178 yr Conte seemed to have different opinion to Allardyce. However Conte looks after Chelsea and big-Sam... for himself, maybe for England...
July 28, 20178 yr Probably the player we should have sent on loan we have hindered by keeping him with the squad. A couple of years in the lower leagues might have taught Ruben a bit of work ethic and how life could be if he doesn't fully apply himself.
July 28, 20178 yr RLC has been treated differently to all our other best prospects. Jose seemed to think he didn't need to go out on loan, but in hindsight he has wasted two or three years, being on the fringes but not getting regular football. You can say he hasn't made the most of the chances he's been given, but there do appear to be issued with his work rate. Probably his biggest problem is that he doesn't have a position.
July 28, 20178 yr Just going through the list on the website of players out on loan. In a professional sport, how long do you going paying people before you decide they're not good enough. We have a goalkeeper signed in September 2010! Never been near the squad even in pre season. Will he get his pension on loan! Todd Kane supposed to be good on the ball quick good in the tackle. Been at the club since he was 8. Surely enough managers have looked at him to make s decision. The list goes on.......

July 28, 20178 yr At some point they#ll have to just release him, if they haven't found a buyer by now, they're not likely to get any real money for him.

July 29, 20178 yr I think Sam is only half right. Sure it benefits those young 18 year olds to play first team football somewhere but try to convince the manager of Crewe he should be playing him over more experienced and consistent players when their job is on the line and they're trying to get promoted or avoid relegation. Sure it comes down to us to pick good clubs for our young players to be loaned. Those ideal situations don't always materiaize though. It may be funny now but we all thought loaning Mceachran to Swansea under Rodgers was a great marraige, look how that turned out.
July 29, 20178 yr the club have actually been really good with Todd kane. They could've easily released him, but the have stuck by him and made world class treatment available. He won't make here, but I think as a club we have looked after our own, and he will make a career from football. It was a similar situation with Sam Hutchinson, who could've easily retired.

He did but then came back.
