We haven't done these for the last few season's, so i thought i would bring them back. At the end of every game I will make a poll for Man of the Match (I'll try and not forget to make one after every game )

There were a few good performances today, but i went with Alonso. I thought he was the most consistent overall.

Jorginho for me, new league, new opposition, new team mates yet took control of the game for us and took a lovely cool penalty.

Willian had a very good game but I'll give it to Kepa considering all that pressure on his young shoulders. And he's prettier than Courtois!

I know this won't be a very standard pick, but for me it was Luiz, he set the tone of the game was combative and lead the defence. He was constantly talking and giving instruction to Rudiger, Alonso and Kepa, whilst also showing a composure and capability on the ball that is very needed in a centre back.

This could have gone to a few today with Rudiger being a very close second. The defensive partnership they had very much reminded me of Albiol and Koulibaly.  

The Pedro, Willian and Hazard also performed well, and whilst not in contention Morata looked significantly better than pre-season (not very hard), and Jorginho controlled the midfield.

N 'Golo for me he's a diamond.

I voted Ross Barkley thought he played well but to be honest it could have a number of players... 

Thought David Luiz was brilliant, his long passes to the attackers was genius.

Everybody has played well.

Went for N'Golo but overall a excellent team performance.

Went for Willian.
