Pool and City are so ruthless, a complete machine each are. You can see why the pile up massive amounts of points virtually every campaign over the past 5 years.

No shame in finishing 3rd behind them. They are exceptional and every other side in the league knows it and fears them.

Reading the match commentary pool are going easy on Saints as it should be 6 already.

Gotta show more of they want to push on in to our squad. The majority of games Chalobah, Mount and James were men of the match for their loan sides.

Gallagher has been and is allowed an off game now and again. Gilmour and Broja need to start pulling up trees.

Yeah but there is no way he'll get a good amount of playing time when Reece has stepped up his levels this season. 

We may have had some away and third kits that hurt the eye, but at least they weren't insipidly lilac as Leeds' third kit.

That is positive. However we want him to fulfill his potential as he could be one of the very best. Such natural talent and vision. So I don't expect man of the match in a 0-0 draw, I expect he turns those draws to wins on his own.

I can't believe what happened in the Copa Libertadores final match. The player that scored the winning goal got touched on the lower back by the ref and he instantly dived and faked a back injury!

Did the ref send himself off? I would expect that level of bias from Taylor today, taking a cheap shot form behind at the lads kidneys. For shame.

I still feel we should buy back one of him or Livramento, I would hate for them to end up under Klopp, Pep or even a competent manager at Utd. Before anyone  goes on about James; Bayern had Alaba, didn’t stop them buying Alphonso Davies and moving Alaba to DM/CB. Kimmich was also the best RB on the planet before Bayern bought Pavard, he has now transformed into one of the best CMs on the planet. 
I feel we could Lamptey could be transformed into a brilliant RW with the right guidance, pundits have already compared Livramento to a young Bale, and James has the skill set to be a very good midfielder. If we don’t, I won’t be surprised if Klopp moves Salah to a CF role in a couple of years, and signs one of Lamptey/Livramento as his replacement.

Lamptey would suit our system perfectly! Although I really like James on RWB and I doubt that in the Jorginho role he would be a goal threat as he is now, as Jorginho in this system needs to stay back, we still need to rotate and have options on that RWB position. It would also give us really good options from the bench as we could just replace 5 positions with just Lamptey (rcb, RWB and the 2 midfielders and even RW) when James moves to those positions and lamptey comes on as RWB. Can you imagine having had to stop James for 70 minutes and then a fresh Lamptey coming on 😩🔥 I absolutely agree that we cannot afford to let either Lamptey or Livramento go to our direct rivals. We need to swoop in and bring them home before they go anywhere else. It would be ideal to just let them develop this season and hopefully after winning the title bring them back. Maybe not in 2022 but in 2023 so they had some games under their belt and Azpi might retire, but under no circumstances can we let them go to Liverpool  or City or even United. Does anyone know what kind of option we have on them?

We have a buy back clause of £25m on Livramento, and we have a sell on clause on Lamptey.

If I'm not mistaken, a buy back clause does not mean first refusal or an obligation to sell him to Chelsea. Should we ever want to buy him back and he wouldn't want to return, that's the end of the story.

So basically if they would ask 40 million for Lamptey we would pay 40 and get 10 million back if we have 25% sell on. 25 million on Livramento would be a no-brainer to keep him from going to a rival and coming back to us.

no it only means that a 25 million pound bit will automatically be accepted by Southampton but we still would have to agree personal terms. it just gives us a favourable position if there are multiple clubs involved as we could avoid a bidding war (if Livramento would want to join us)
