Decent team. I think it’s a bit harsh leaving out Ziyech/Kepa. Overall it’s the right cal playing Mendy, likewise if it goes to pens then Kepa should come on.

Not sure there’ll be many though prepared to pay him what he earns here. So it’s money or playing in reality.

Probably not , but he may be willing to take a  pay cut in order to get back playing. I was also under the impression the Spain number 1 spot is still up for grabs ahead of the World Cup.

Kepa deserved a start, Lukaku should be on the bench.

Kepa deserves the final but tbf no matter how good his form is, he still has his achilles heel of long shots and curlers. If you want to win at all costs then Mendy is the right choice with Kepa coming in for pens.

Mendy was in goal for CL final, got award, deserves to play imo.  Kepa will likely feature in EFL Cup Final and lord forbid if this goes to pens Kepa may get subbed on. My only small grumble is Zyech benched - got a knock ? Bc he’s been the liveliest attacker lately   
 

Time to win Roman the only 🏆 missing from his cabinet. Come on Chelsea!

That sounds good on paper, Kepa though receives 3 times the wage of Mendy. Playing is good but the extra 6 million is very persuasive.

I never wish an injury on a player but maybe Lukaku can start getting the odd niggle?

Yeah I’ve no idea clue what Kepa would be thinking, he may easily prefer to sit on the bench, just putting the idea out there as it’s not unprecedented, Willian and Aubamayang both took huge pay cuts to get out of arsenal in recent months.
