This game will always be a bit pointless as an glorified friendly, but I think all non European teams/players put a lot of importance in it as it's their chance to show their worth against the richest.

Hope we batter them as it's gets really annoying having to stand supporters from other teams gloating whenever they win it, although the memory of my team São Paulo beating the scousers back then is surely one of my favourites. Watching Gerrard getting all cocky before and pissed after was sweet haha

Btw, Kenedy was on the losing side against Palmeiras in the Libertadores final, wonder if he'll get a look for a chance of revenge.

    Been in AD for the week. Locals have been alright, we are absolutely mobbed by Palmeiras fans though, thousands of them here. Evening I arrived a bunch of them had a massive party outside my hotel room after their SF win, cnts 😅. Feels like this is a big one for them, can imagine their players are well up for it. Hope we step up and show up like the European champions we are. COYB

    they get bullied by the other Brazilian teams like we bully arsenal and man city for not having an european cup, that's why they want to win it so badly

    Well we know which side will be more motivated then, given several on here see it as important as the community shield.
