They used to be dangerous everywhere and now you'll have a great chance against them if you manage to take Haaland out so I get the point. Which attack is harder to contain? Sane - silva - Aguero - Kdb - Sterling Or Nunes - Gundo - Haaland - Foden - B silva Everyone will say a over b, is it because Aguero is more versatile or better than Haaland or because Nunes really? Gundo? I thought he is retired already. Edited December 4, 20241 yr by Bob stark
December 23, 20241 yr His agent creating noise around the player. Honestly, if his position would not change in the club I can't see him wanting to stay.

Unsurprising Spainish outlet sport have said Barca would not be looking at a transfer, rather a loan to buy in the summer. Nkunku would also need to lower his wages to fit in to Barca structure, which sport says he is willing to do.

Dani Olmo is about to become unregistered in January because of PSR/FFP rules. They have to sell or “pull some more levers” or he can walk away for free although he’s stated he doesn’t want that.

I don’t think Barca is the best move for him, and he will have a lot of competition for a starting role. Olmo, Gavi, Raphinha and Fermin Lopez are all jostling for the AM/LW role. Barca are also broke, not sure the loan to buy is feasible in the summer unless they sell. They are presently going to the Courts to keep Olmo & Pau Victor. Utd or Atletico Madrid are the perfect fit for him, that is who his agent needs to be talking to.

He does need to leave though, at his age he needs to be a regular, especially with the World Cup in mind. If it means we go out and get a striker Maresca rates it really would be a win win for both Nkunku and the club.

I feel managers like Arteta, Pep & Maresca are set in their ways, and any striker coming in not named Halaand or Kane will be confined to the bench picking up 15mins here and there.

Depends on if the striker gives him the work rate he wants. Guiu does but is too inexperienced, Nkunku does not ecen though his finishing is better than Nicos. Really Guiu is a perfect Maresca forward, he should trust him more imo
December 24, 20241 yr If I was Nkunku, I would also be looking to move. Top scorer, by far the more rounded and accomplished footballer when compared to Jackson, and a genuine "star player" - and yet he remains firmly consigned to the b team. However poor Jackson plays, he continues to get selected over Chris time and time again. It is slightly absurd and frankly - pretty disrespectful

In terms of overall/rounded skill set and talent - our strikers go Nkunku, Guiu and only then Jackson. Chris should be starting. Guiu should be getting more minutes, and Jackson should be development/b team or loan.
December 24, 20241 yr be mad to let him go, he's started once in PL this season and scored, Jackson one booking away from ban, i think he may start against Fulham and if he was to score will Marasca drop him? if we are to sell him PLEASE sell him abroad, there will be plenty of PL clubs trying to sign him and i couldn't bare to see him in an Arsenal or Tottenham shirt

December 24, 20241 yr Think its inevitable he leaves, earns too much money for Clearlake to be happy with him. If we're selling go all out for Duran.
December 24, 20241 yr Seeing Nkunku go and be replaced by Delap or Duran would actually be good business in my eyes, I’d imagine similar fees in & out. He’s a far better player than Jackson will ever become but Maresca doesn’t fancy him for whatever reason and at the minute, most calls Maresca has made have been right.
December 24, 20241 yr Think it’s inevitable he goes at some point. He isn’t a striker so frustrations at Wacko getting picked ahead of him are ill placed. His biggest problem is Palmer’s burst onto the scene and Estevao’s upcoming arrival. Hope we sell him outside of England if he does go, because he solves a lot of problems for a lot of our rivals

Unless he changes his mind on that, there is no role in the starting line up for Nkunku, sadly ... It will be interesting to see what Maresca does next season when Estevao arrives, as I saw some media reports that Estevao has been promised the '#10 slot. If we are genuinely committed to that, then it's Cole moving to RW or sold I guess ?
December 24, 20241 yr As a 'pure' footballer Nkunku is miles better than Jackson, obviously. For what this team needs from a centre-forward Jackson is the better choice, and I don't think it's particularly close either. I wouldn't want Nkunku to leave, but I can understand why he would want to. He is good enough to be starting for a Champions' League team.

If anyone is taking that role i'd imagine it could be Paez moreso than Estevao.

He is also still incredibly raw, would cost at a minimum £50m, and IMO better off staying at Villa where he is starting now ahead of Watkins for the next 2 seasons to polish his game.

I think him and Jackson could share minutes quite well. Both offer a unique ST profile. Jackson as a player that can occupy CB's and run channels and Duran as a pure finisher.
December 24, 20241 yr I hope we put some faith in Guiu ahead of signing another striker like Duran or Omorodion at this point. Nkunku appears not to fit the system, but Guiu up top certainly does.
December 24, 20241 yr Really hope that we put our foot down on United, but I fear we may not want to do that after they sold us Sancho with minimum fuss (pre INEOS they would have stubbornly refused to). I'd like to think he wouldn't want to touch United though, going there would mean near enough all of his prime away from a team as competive as his talents deserve (at best he'll be 30 when United will be in a position to do anything important again).
December 24, 20241 yr It would be mental to sell him now, but I see him definitely being sold in the summer. Maresca clearly isn't a fan. Don't know who replaces him though. I would like Duran, but it's not going to happen. He's just took Watkins place and has a contact that doesn't end until 2030. We would have to pay something insanse to get him here.
