Big fee for a 21 year old but this is how we operate I guess. I know very little of him. Hoping for Van Dijk levels but you never know which way a young player develops. I trust Silva and KK guide him to a right path.

I guess it's not fully clear but to me 75m (add ons included) would say that the deal is up to 75m, right?  It doesn't say 75m plus add ons.  Not that I really care if the club pays 5m or not tbh, just happy it seems to be over the line.

it could be 75 million and add ons are also included which would mean 75+

or he could have meant 75 million including add ons zo max 75

Chelsea are set to sign Wesley Fofana on permanent deal from Leicester, final details sorted and here we go 🤝

▫️ Full agreement reached yesterday as Leicester accepted Chelsea’s fourth bid for French talented centre back.

▫️ Fee around £75m with add-ons included, clubs are now working on documents and paperwork to get it signed soon.

❗️ Fofana only wanted Chelsea since long time, as he agreed personal terms weeks ago and he won’t be part of Leicester squad today.

▫️ Fofana will sign as new Chelsea player until June 2028 once all documents are completed between clubs.

▫️ Final steps needed to make the deal official in the next days, including medical tests in London to be scheduled.

 

Well done for Big Todd and the team for getting this done. Considering it seemed a difficult transfer, they’ve pulled it off.

guy that broke it said record fee for a 21 year old defender, which was currently £50m for wan bissaka. The figures coming out now, £74m-£75m all in, doesnt conflict those at all. 

Anyway, if you want to believe you got £85m plus, then cool. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

The people who broke the story clearly said, £70m upfront with enough addons to take it to a world record for an u21. Which would be £77m+.

I don't know what to believe really. either way it would still be worth it even if it's a world record fee imo

Hate to say it but having the player kick up a fuss really works in forcing a transfer. Tibo would have been much more expensive if he didn't and Eden would have been much cheaper if he did.

Jeez I had no idea Leicester paid £36.5m for him in the first place, that and having a 20% sell on clause. Even if they get the full £75m they would only end up with £23.5m profit for a near world record fee.

He is a decent player. Is he worth that?  No.  

But it is going to be alright at the back, for now.  We have some coverage. We have some quality. We have some yoof and we have some pace.
