I don't see why not, there is a pic of him in a Chelsea shirt, although loyalties/clubs change as you get older, especially as a professional player. That being said, he would be equally desperate to join any club with Champions league football given the chance. Shall I put the pics up of him in an Arsenal shirt?

August 25, 20223 yr Amazing how upset these player get with clubs asking for a certain fee and blaming them for somehow ruining a dream… and yet they won’t put in a transfer request and lose their “loyalty” bonus, or reduce their wage demands to make a transfer happen.

If you want, but there was a reason he had that on if you read any of the articles, and it was from last year was it not? The Chelsea shirt he wore as a child would of been his childhood team, not that it matters when footballers choose a team to transfer to as it becomes more about personal achievement than anything.

I’ve got pictures of me in a West Ham shirt, I’ve had no liking for West Ham ever.

Stan Collymore was the player I always remember changing his teams with the weather. He claimed to be a lifelong fan of every team he joined. Well, maybe not Southend 😉

Indeed, and while obviously my loyalities are to Chelsea I can see it from your point of view as well. I fully get why you are upset with him. I would be too. You guys took care of him after he broke his leg, offered him a new 5 year deal, which he accepted without a gun at his head without demanding for a release clause. As you said no transfer request as to lose the loyalty bonus, missing training, poor behavior imo. Had he simply told your club "I really would love to go to Chelsea, if you can make a deal that suits you and them I will go but if not I will stay" and he stays professional throughout I doubt one single Leicester fan would have a bad thought about him.

To this point and @foxeduppoint as well, I don’t like seeing footballers act like this but Fofana isn’t the first footballer to force a move, nor will he be the last. Chelsea may or may not be his ‘dream’ move but it’s undeniably a step up, an opportunity to earn more money and an opportunity to compete more regularly for trophies. We’ve seen it ourselves with Courtois, Gallas etc over the years. We’ve also had players the other side of the coin like Hazard and Rudiger but always remained respectful to the club. If Fofana does this and us as Chelsea fans love him for doing so, we can’t then be pissed off if he does the same to us in the future with a move to Madrid or someone.

Again though where is yours and your agents common sense? Insist on a minimum fee clause, it is his fault.

That’s all you can ask, I’m sure most of us understand the realities of the football food chain, I don’t begrudge anyone wanting to move up the chain. But go about it the right way. We’ll have paid the lad over £5m when out injured, you’d expect a bit of humility or compromise on his part to make it happen. And not just put the onus on the two clubs to either accept less or pay more.

August 25, 20223 yr FFS, there are even pictures of him ‘sleeping’ in an Arsenal shirt, gunners are gonna have a field day with that.

It's a difficult situation though, knowing a big club that can offer trophies, money and success is literally desperate to sign you (yes we are a big club in the grand scheme of things, despite what opposition fans like to think). To mentally commit to wanting to move, only for it to fail and end up playing for your current team still is only going to end in displeasure on both parties. It's really down to Leicester and Chelsea to find a solid solution to avoid him staying, but £70m is too much anyway in my opinion for a player with injury troubles and unproven at the highest level so it's not like we're taking the micky.

I've got a mate who's a West Ham fan they despise Redknapp. He started a whispering campaign against Billy Bonds which got him sacked and Arry given the job he then would only sign players that were on his son's books who was an agent meaning they signed players like Marco Boogers. This is the highlight of his career I hear it's Jamie Carragher's screensaver.😆

Well, we still boo Courtois the snake when he played for Real Madrid at the Bridge and have not seen a single Chelsea fan talk well of Lukaku and don't think that he'll be well received at our ground if he was to play here. And rightly so. I don't follow Leicester so I don't know what he's done or not, but I can understand perfectly @foxedup and the rest of Leicester fans with this if he hasn't done it the right way. If he just had asked the club to reach an agreement with Chelsea, then no one at Leicester would bear a grudge.

I used to have a West Ham shirt too back in 1993 (given by my uncle), never did have a photo wearing it though thank god! 🤣 I know what you're saying anyway, and I agree kids are fickle at a young age and may support or wear many teams shirts, but ultimately the reason for his move is a success one which you can't begrudge him? I like Leicester as my grandad was born there, so nothing against them personally, but I don't believe in keeping players against their wishes when a fair bid comes in, which it has already IMO.
August 26, 20223 yr Rumours about Leicesters CEO has rejected the 4th offer of 74mill including add ons as it did not: A) meet their total valuation (80mill minimum, original price 87mill) B) add ons not quickly enough achieved in most part. Our deadline to have a deal agreed was previously reported as the end of Sunday latest.
August 26, 20223 yr If they're not going to accept a deal of up to 74m then we simply have to walk away. It's becoming an absolute farce at this point.
August 26, 20223 yr Leicester want more money upfront, as they owe St. Etienne 20% for the sell on clause. Move on and get Tapsoba or Ndicka
