Welcome Omari Hutchinson

Mad that the kid has barely become a professional and he's already had Arsenal, Chelsea, Ipswich and Nottingham Forest as his clubs.

Met him when he was at Chelsea - he signed my boys Stamford the Lion. A really nice lad. Good luck to him.

Surprised he's gotten this move so early given he didn't exactly pull up any trees at Ipswich in the prem. Good luck to him though and it's a nice financial boost for us.

He was the standout Ipswich player not called Delap

Leif Davis was far better. Hutchinson did a few step overs but there was nothing else to his game in the Prem. Struggled massively.

Leif Davis was a awful defender but looked nice going forward. Modern defenders I guess.

Hutchinson was 2nd for Ipswich in the EPL for combined goals and assists. Admittedly, he only had 5, so this isnt particularly impressive - but he was 2nd only to Delap, in what proved to be a very poor Ipswich team that struggled in the league.

If being 2nd in those metrics in your team is something you now deem worthy of praise Jim, who was it who was 2nd only to Cole Palmer on those metrics in our team last season ?

LOL

Apples and Oranges. We are a team creating a lot more, and hoping for more. Despite that - Jackson was worst out of our attackers for goals per minute.

And somethings transcend stats. There is also the eye test.....and Jackson is the worst and ugliest eye test failure I have ever known.

Joint second with Enciso, who played less than 1/3 of his minutes...

Hirst with one less in 1/4 of his minutes.

I disagree with this UB. He was one of their better players last season. Always looking to make things happen and I always knew as soon as Ipswich went down, he would get a move back to the PL. If he was in a better team, think his output would have been better, but no I wouldn't say he struggled massively. I think the team struggled massively. He was one of their better players for sure. Also got really unlucky with some of his long rangers last season. I can easily see why Forest and Brentford were in for him.

I watched a lot of Ipswich games last season. Mainly because i like the manager Kieran McKenna. In the games I watched Omari Hutchinson looked great - always lively on the ball and a highly creative player.

He made more tackles than he did chances created for Ipswich. The full backs made more chances than him.

Probably well suited to Forrest then because the wingers are asked to do a lot of dirty work in harrying and closing down and running, lots of running. CHO when fit worked his socks off and wasnt great output wise but had a decent season... Should be interesting to see him there - hope it works out for him.

Statistics are boring and seldom tell the true story. I watched the games (with my eyes) and Omari looked a lively and creative player. Good to know that he created space for the full backs and was able to do the necessary defensive work. Good team player.

Jackson was second for us last season for G/A. Therefore he must be our second best player then.

Already answered this elsewhere. The eyes dont lie. Apples and Oranges. Chelsea and Ipswich.

Ahh the classic “facts are hurting my feelings so I’ll fall back on my eye test”. Obvious blue tinted glasses if you actually watched Ipswich and thought Hutchinson stood out, either that or you’re both amazed by a player that does a step over and little else. Makes sense why Jim was so sold on Felix too.
