May 4May 4 Abysmal today, at fault for pretty much everything that came from Forest. Turns out he’s still a very average full back and can’t hide behind the occasional goal anymore. Should have let Pep have him.
May 17May 17 I like him, but still has his weaknesses. Although very good on one to one defending, he still lacks that physical presence I like to see in full back like we see with James, Calafiori, O#Reilly etc and sometimes think it hinders us. He is very good at reading the game but often lacks the power to get past other players.
May 21May 21 I’d keep him because of the experience he has. Football wise he’s definitely replaceable but if Alonso gets him back on side then I’m all for it.But if he wants to play for Maresca then move him on……. For a profit and the same goes for Fernandez.
May 22May 22 Sell sell sell sell sellHe's in his absolute prime. He's a good player on form but those days are on and off when it comes to the league. But honestly the idea of Cucurella playing #10 alongside Enzo Fernandez and Rayan Cherki in pure Marescaball makes me excited. Maybe Haaland will be on the market next summer when he fails to hit 20 league goals for the first time in his career. Edited May 22May 22 by SydneyChelsea

May 24May 24 If his brain was a big as his hair, I'd keep him. But it's much, much smaller.Sell, sell, sell.
May 25May 25 Definite sell for me. Doesn’t offer enough and part of the inconsistency problem to me. Would rather we persisted with Hato at left back.
May 25May 25 I think the question of sell or keep is academic. It was patently evident in his performance and body language yesterday that mentally he's already left. It wouldn't surprise me if he is the first agreed deal that is announced. That was not Cucurella playing yesterday. I reckon a deal is already agreed and ready to go.
May 25May 25 He may be the big name we sell Ornstein/Law was referring to. Hall or Robinson are the players we should replace him with.
May 25May 25 2 years left on his deal. I agree I think he is on his way out.If not to Spain perhaps Maresca wants him too.
May 25May 25 I know he’s the type of profile we are looking for(experienced in his prime) but he has never been a steadying influence he’s always been a bit of a liability if you ask me and if the money is right why not. Will they buy a replacement? Is it Barco? Will Hato and Quanda do it?there are options or are they all as seems to be the case more and more lately it’s another slight downgrade on a first team spot that was sorted?

So for me if Enzo, Fofana, Garnacho and any others that may be disruptive need to be moved out so be it and if the likes of Edmund Tapsoba and Alex Grimaldo are recruited for the benefit of the group then I am on board with it. I have seen far too many players sneered at as being not Chelsea standard whilst those here continue to stink up the place.
May 25May 25 Think he is most likely leaving. Makes sense now that they only increased his wages last summer without extending the length.

June 1Jun 1 Although I think he'd be perfect as a wing back in Alonso's system, this is something that we should have been expecting from various players. They were promised a type of project that eventually turned into a mess because of our board's constant stubbornness to not invest in ready made players to finally have the club challenge for big trophies.

Think that's the weakest part of Cucurella's game and why I still assume Alonso will play a back 4. Hall and Robinson the only two players I'd replace him with.
June 1Jun 1 Personally I will miss his athletic superiority, his technical brilliance, and his elite footballing brain.
